I'm experiencing the same issue as many other players here. Yesterday, the game was mainly crashing whenever I tried to load into the tower. I would just get Error Code: CE-34878-0 instead. I found a work around, where I could load into the firing range first and then the tower. Now, I can't even get to the character select screen without getting Error Code: CE-34878-0.
Cleared the PS4's cache, rebuilt the database and am currently re-downloading all 11 Required Content Add-Ons. Nothing has helped so far. I was planning on fully initializing the PS4 if these re-downloads don't change anything, but I'm not going to bother now, as it seems clear from everyone else posting about this, that this is very much a problem on Bungie's end and not an issue with my console.
I've seen from other players on here that there is a fix to do with the Techsec Cloak. Yesterday, two of the many crashes I experienced did happen when I tried to preview either of the two Techsec Cloaks I had in my Hunter's inventory. I am going to use DIM to move them and see if that helps. Will report back if it works.
Edit: I found a post where it seems this exact same problem was happening at the launch of Into The Light. Same error code and everything.
