The Portal is confusing, Matterspsrk sucks
Self explanatory. The portal was meant to be helpful i get it but all it does is make it harder to figure out what to do next. The solo Playlist is silly. There is no clear direction or explanation as how to navigate it or what to do to earn higher level gear.
The matterspark and other "location abilities " are a drag and seem purposefully time consuming to extend playtime unnecessarily. The formula was fine minus a few tweaks like always. I dont see how new players are supposed to get into this if it confuses old players. Oh and why the heck did we reset all the power levels AGAIN. Kind of a slap in the face to players who grinded out the last few years. Lodi is the saving grace of this expansion. Not worth the money I paid for it.

Everyone is running Encore in the Pinnacle tab. That’s the best way to level up right now. Get a fireteam and run encore with modifiers for bonus points. First time I used fireteam finder which sucks. Bungie just needs to add matchmaking already. This is ridiculous, but I digress. If the game doesn’t crash on you during the mission it’s a good grind you go up about 5-7 levels in power each time you run Encore in this fashion.

5 RepliesI did the first 90 light level solo today and ran through it fairly fast without dying once. Killed everything and didn't worry about the timer. I was expecting to get close to a B considering how low level this is but I... DIDN'T... EVEN.... COME.... CLOSE!

Matterspark is awful. Unpredictable, nauseating, and ridiculous. Thats my only take on this expansion. Once i finish the campaign, i doubt ill do anything that has me using matterspark.

Kind of a slap in the face to players who grinded out the last few years.[/quote] As someone with 5000 hours in this game, I could not give less of a damn about the arbitrary number on our characters that meant absolutely nothing aside from what activities we were allowed to play. Power levels didn’t actually affect anything. Not to mention: New players joining and seeing their power level already at 1900 must have made zero sense at all, since it isn’t immediately clear that it’s just a means to lock you out of activities until you’ve grinded enough, and doesn’t actually increase your damage/defense across the board.

1 ReplyI wouldnt necessarily say that the portal is confusing but it feels really one-dimensional - we're basically back to using a menu, similar to "normal" campaign games. And the old stuff is hidden away in the background, with no incentive to ever go there unless you're leveling a new character. Biggest cons: * No pathfinder for bright dust * No daily lost sectors * The new pinnacles suck. I'd much rather run a nightfall than an exotic mission * The data pads are not showing up in quickplay and quickplay doesnt let you leave after the completition of an activity. It's not like the old system was too complicated so it's IMO a step back.

There was a guide, I guess you just clicked right through that. Quests are still there not hard to find. Director, guess what, still there not hard to find. Solo Ops are for solo players idk how that confuses you. Well it makes sense, if you’re confused on why there is a Solo Ops playlist, I guess you would be confused when it comes to the missions where you actually have to think. Wild I know, even though Bungie said they were making missions more puzzle focused.
