Oh boy, the wonderful world of card games. I'm not avidly playing any right now, but there's two I want to get into.
The first is Flesh and Blood, it's one of the more popular newer card games. Just a generic high-fantasy theme, but it's nice to have a newer tcg that isn't based on some mega-franchise. The main gimmick with this one is that the community/developers are anti-internet to try and get people together to play the game, which I'm totally down with. No matter how mechanically good a card game is, it loses a bit of its magic when you aren't face-to-face with the other player. Now, there are some online components to help get people together through the website, and I played a little tutorial online, and the game itself was really fun. It operates like a bidding-attrition game, similar to gwent, where the name of the game is outlasting your opponent. You use your cards to both attack and defend, but you only draw cards at the end of your turn, so the more cards you spend defending, the weaker your attack will be next turn. It's a really clever system that trickles down both players' hp until somebody's ready to throw down a big attack, then the game becomes a parry-riposte back-and-forth until somebody wins. I love the pitching mechanic too, where your cards are also your mana, so you have decide what to keep and what to pitch to activate strong abilities. It prevents players from filling their decks with only op cards.
The second is Android: Netrunner. It was made by the guy that made Magic, and I've heard it's his best game. The original version flopped because it was a "living" card game, where the box comes with all the cards int eh set, and you just play the game, instead of all the trading card nonsense that's incredibly lucrative. A nonprofit resurrected the game and is making new sets, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
Now, a game that I've actually played, and cannot recommend enough, is Duelyst II. This is a free-to-play, online card battler where you put your cards on a 5x9 grid, and suddenly the game becomes a chesslike. I played the original version of this game back in like 2016-2017 maybe? and it was a banger, and, like Netrunner, got picked up by another studio and is now going strong. It's been awhile since I've played because the game was too good, and I would often abuse it for purposes of procrastination. The added dimension of moving your pieces around allows Duelyst 2 to avoid a pitfall that most card battlers fall into: your win is not dictated by crappy hands. Sure, there's plenty of times in Duelyst where you'll get shafted by a bad hand, but you can use the grid to mitigate the damages. Your opponent might've just summoned the biggest creature in the game, but if he can't hit you, then it's not a problem. There's so many clever plays and strategies where you can get away with winning on a "bad hand" by cleverly maneuvering your opponent into a corner or save your bacon by buying time with smart retreats. Game's awesome, go play it now please.

i played a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh
haven't played in years it got too expensive and boring everyone has the same decks victory is determined on turn 1 And it turned into a pay to win toxic cesspool at all my card shops... Quite depressing really
I really enjoy the Bloodborne Card Game. It's this weird sort of competitive co-op thing, where you're all ostensibly working together to take down the monsters, but also your goal is to get the highest points out of all your allies, so you're kind of constantly undermining each other along the way.
And of course, Magic the Gathering is always fun. Got an Eldrazi deck for regular play, and a fun Kallia of the Vast angel/demon deck for Commander.
Alas, I haven't actually had anyone to play the games with for a while. :(
Edit: Oh, also, if it counts, Quantum Protocol is very good. It's a digital card game on Steam. Enemies work on timers rather than having cards of their own, which is pretty fun.
You know, I was actually making a card game a while back. I actually had all the fundamentals put together, and it's perfectly playable! It was a sort of single player RPG kind of deal. The kind of thing you could take with you on a road trip, and then play a bit when you wanted to relax. I've played a few rounds during my downtime at work. It's good fun.
Unfortunately, it was a bit too much work for one person! The main hiccup I ran into was making all the cards. It was rather exhausting. Still, I should finish it up one of these days...
Cyberpunk is fun. Mostly been working music recently though. I picked up a set of dark hand cards at the fair a month or so ago and so playing conventional card games is slightly more interesting. Of course uno is always fun
