Couldn't find a support article about this specific issue and I'm not sure how to go about it. I have been playing on PC on and off for years and a roommate recently got an Xbox Series X. My account is the primary on the Xbox, and I repurchased all the DLC in a recent sale so I could play on Xbox and got him to try it out as well on his Gamertag (logged out of mine, but he's still able to play my games because I have Game Pass Ultimate). I decided to hop online on my PC and help him out once he got through the tutorials on the Xbox and was surprised to find that it said I was playing on Xbox and would have to kick him off (even though he's not signed into my Xbox Profile, but his, because I was fully logged out on the Xbox). I opted to let him continue playing solo rather than kicking him off. We're in the same house on the same network, just looking to do co-op as a fireteam for him to learn the game. I guess my question is what do we need to do to be able to play together? Do we have to re-buy the entire game and all expansions on his account (for a third time)? Do we have to get him his own Xbox Live subscription? It seems fine to play with other people, so I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this one. No error code to provide, it just says only one player can be online at a time. Any solutions?
