I’ve been playing trials and Comp
And regular PVP and private matches this past 2 weeks.
And the lag is so bad on the other team ever game.
My Internet is great no problems, and I have ask other people on my team if they are having the same problem and they’re saying yes to other team is always lagging.
Is there something wrong with Destiny servers?
Why is there so much lag these past couple weeks with Destiny 2?
I am on pc but I have great internet connection
I’m just trying to find out if bungee is having issues with something going on in the game.
Thanks in advance.

The problem is peer-to-peer and you can't do anything about it. The best is to quit playing.

2 RepliesEdited by Andy: 7/11/2025 8:28:19 AMThe problem is destiny doesn't have game servers in the normal sense. All the destiny servers really do is handle login authentication and loot tracking. Everything that matters for PvP runs peer to peer so every player is directly connected to every other player in the match directly rather than to a game server. So performance is massively dependent on every single player's connection and location. So whenever you get a match where everyone is not geographically close with a good connection, depending on where you are and when you play that can be most of the time the game performs like trash in pvp.
