Red Death Reformed is a shame!
1) Bungie did nerf pulse rifles to the ground.
2) this weapon inherited the nerf of "1".
3) I use Aberrant Action or Timeworn Wayfarer instead of Red Death Reformed because both have heal clip enhanced trait.
The damage of this weapon is weak even for Rank-and-file (or Minor) enemies in end-game activities.
PLEASE, BUFF THIS WEAPON!*
*I apologize by the caps, I'm just emphasizing the request. I am not screaming.

Red Death is like one of the highest damaging pulse rifles in the game. The issue is that 340 pulse rifles have bad damage output so I'd just give 340's a 15-20% buff. Though tbh this could probably extend to most pulse rifles with MAYBE only the heavy bursts being fine without it since they're closer to hand cannons while most pulses are closer to autos in terms of how long it takes to kill red bars. I'd then increase the stats. With 340's having kinda bad range now in pvp (Dropped from 40 down to like 36-37) I doubt giving Red Death a small stat bump would be harmful. Plus with 140's gaining the possibility to 2 shot I doubt 340's will ever encroach on the hand cannon meta ever again. For the stat bump I'd set base reload to 50, stability to 60 (Without the unique recoil pattern the 49 really hurts it in both pve and pvp), and airborne to 40.

Definitely be up for a buff. It’s not much better than a HC/Incan weapon, and it taking the exotic slot makes it even more of a tough choice to justify. Not having any splash dmg is its biggest concern. But it’s more of a healing focused weapon, so I’d focus on that more. Juicing is healing capabilities to grant Resto on kill+cure(PvE only) and adding incan+burning ambition would be a nice way of tying into solar fragments a lot easier. Could probably use a slight damage increase, and have the bonus damage it grants for low health be transferred to a counter that tracks damage instances for PvE instead of the low health trigger.

1 ReplyIt feels fine in pvp, but hey I’m all for buffing pulse rifles in pve. I have always believed that we should all be OP in pve.

20 RepliesI would love to see it get incandescent. However, it might be too good then... I also don't see many people bringing an exotic pulse for high end pve content though.

They needa give it incandescent

Its only a shame because its reformed

All it really needs is more AA (exotics are consistently either near the bottom or way above the top for their archetypes) and to actually fit the guardian killer lore. They don't even need to buff the damage output significantly, just give it like 1 high powered burst when it's charged and it's good.
