Man, I wish it was a hand cannon meta because pulses have been ridiculously dominant. I don’t even play PvE really and I can tell you that pulses are far more dominant than hand cannons.

Exactly correct. I don’t get why do many on this thread think it’s a HC sg meta still. Like uhh did we forget about all these dominant seasons of Redrix, before that graviton and before that all the 340 pulses dominated before that rapid fire pulses dominated. Genuinely confused how they forget this

On console HC is the weapon of choice in adept/ascendent lobbies.

There always was a hand cannon meta. Think about Better Devils, Dire Promise, Spare Rations, Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten, Rose (2x), The Steady Hand, Bottom Dollar, Eyasluna, True Prophecy, Crimil's Dagger, Igneous Hammer and more...... Sometimes Bungie buffs some pulse rifles, but Hand cannons are always better. Specially on PC.

Maybe you are simply associating HCs with skilled players because that’s who it draws and they would beat you with any weapon most likely but you just associate the HC as the common factor ..

Yes, I agree - We’ve had most meta’s as HC metas. However, right now the most dominant force is pulses… not all. They’re easy to use, flinch, forgiving and have a fast ttk. I think the primary issue is just the ease of use factor combined with the utility of teaming. I’d rather see 140s get a slight RPM boost to compete with pulse ttk but I’m sure that’ll never happen lol.

Yea pulses are just more effective period. I start with a HC until I get too annoyed and have to put a pulse on.

120s are fine. Its the 3rd party kbm abuse that's destroying the entire crucible.
