I don’t really care what anyone says about this, Destiny 2 really needed stuff like this (Armor Sets, Reworked stats, Power reset, etc.) because for the past few years, the game really felt stale with builds only relying on subclass aspects and fragments with armor mods.
I genuinely think their path with this change is really going to allow players to feel like something in their build is what makes the class that class. Bungie can actually make armor sets that are universal and class locked.
Some examples:
Titan - Set 1: Fortress
2pc: gain 10% class ability regeneration passively
4pc: gain 20% damage reduction when at full health or behind a barricade and 15% melee regeneration when not at full health.
Set 2: Wolf’s Slash
2pc: improves lunge range for shoulder charge abilities
4pc: shoulder charge damage now scales based on initial ability activation (up to 1.5x additional damage). Shoulder Charge kills refreshes your ability based on combatant type.
Hunter:
Set 1: Keen Eyes
2pc: Radar range increased by +20m
4pc: throwing knives can stick to walls and activate sonar scans, revealing enemies as truesight to you and nearby allies
Warlock:
Set 1: Guardian Angel
2pc: improves Icarus Dash
4pc: Reviving an ally, spawns a Light Rift below the revived ally, giving the effects of Healing and Empowering Rift. Healing Grenade radius increased.
All I’m saying is Bungie has a great opportunity to give classes special effects that makes them who they’re supposed to be.
