Two ideas for exotic class items:
1.) Make them craftable. Not in the way we have to hunt down red borders, but in a way we can get a random drop and undiscovered perks are unlocked for crafting. This would save us vault space by not having to store all 64 unique combinations per class and reduce the somewhat meaningless grind. (This could also be extended to future craftable weapons so that you aren’t grinding for red borders but instead for specific perk rolls)
2.) Add class items for the base subclasses. These would be locked to only solar, or only stasis, etc. They would have 8 generic exotic perks from their class, 4 subclass perks specific to their class, and 2 subclass perks from each of the other classes split between the 2 columns. For example, the Titan class item could have variants of HoIL, Wormgod Caress, Precious Scars, Stronghold, Citan’s Ramparts, Hazardous Propulsion, Severance Enclosure, and Armamentarium as its generic perks, while the Solar version gets Phoenix Cradle, Pyrogale Gauntlets, Loreley Splendor Helm, and Khepri’s Horn, as well as Young Ahamkara’s Spine and Ophidia Spathe from Hunters, and Wings of Sacred Dawn and Dawn Chorus from Warlocks

1 ReplyI just want the exotic class items to work with any subclass - and not just prismatic.

Ignore the trolls saying no. Yes I agree these class items should be craftable because it will help with vault space, dual destiny is just tedious to farm now, and xur doesn’t always have the class items in rotation. Class items working for base classes would be nice but with bungie getting ready to nuke prismatic in the future i am not holding my breath.

nah grind needed. make it so we can infuse the exotic class items into each other and add each others perks to exists on the same class item until all 8 perks in each column is unloced, still needs grind but you can have a full 8-8 perk columns on 1 class item instead of 64, storing only 3 class item for each character instead of 192.

1 ReplyInstead of crafting, unlocking. It drops with two by default. You unlock the ability to change them as you use it. As far as using it outside Prismatic, many adjustments would be required. Especially when two mods together make non-prismatic builds OP. Since these are quality of life improvement suggestions I doubt any time will be spent to develop.

4 RepliesBeen saying this for a long time. There is only a couple of viable options for each class as it is, but if you wanna collect them all or fool around with different ones you need to commit 193 vault slots over all three classes ... And I agree, they need to be brought to mono subclasses also.

Or seethe quietly in the corner. Just stop whining. You don’t even need a mic. You just need an IQ higher than your shoe size which I’m sure even you could do if you really tried.
