Not friendly game for new players.

1 Replyi just came back after a couple years away & i have no idea of what's going on or what i'm supposed to be doing. not sure what gear or mats to keep or anything. would starting a new account help?

3 RepliesYou could have just stopped after ‘Not friendly game’ …. I’ve been here since almost day one, and most of the time I have no idea what’s going on. If I do one thing then I worry I’m doing the wrong thing, so I’ll do that and realise I am missing something else, and I’m certainly not going to do it all on three separate characters, because it’s repetitive and dull to do it that many times… It’s exhausting when I just want to shoot aliens and let off steam, not play Destiny as a job.

It’s not really friendly for long time players either. It’s like a video game adaptation of masochists anonymous. -
I have spent over 5000 hours into this game and i quit couple months ago ... Sometimes i wanna start it up again but then i think about how badly the game has been changed and i just play another game . Gta 6 has been delayed so maybe i will play it here and there untill gta 6 comes out but man , my love for destiny 2 is dead . Sad , very sad ..

Not to mention with seasonal stories not being playable after an expansion, you often get left confused if you only play expansions.

Yep, they charge you for outdated content the established players don't care about anymore, then refer you to content creators to explain the story and how the game works -
1 ReplyThey need a better intro, and it needs to be more comprehensive and helpful, otherwise we just won't have new players, Bungie won't listen though, so yeah. If only Bungie had any creativity, or community interaction, or something with spreadsheets and player numbers dropping.

Unfortunately, most live service games function like this. Unless you have a group of friends ready to play through the first several hours with you, you'll feel completely lost.
