How do I get back into Destiny 2…
Howdy Folks… I have been wanting to get back into D2 for a while but I have no clue where to even start. I have not played the game seriously since 2022. If any of you have any suggestions, I would to love get em.

Honestly I wouldn’t bother. But if you do just do what another poster said and wait for Edge of Fate. I personally am not buying it and am currently getting back into Fortnite and may try that new game releasing next week Mindseye.

Await till Edge Of Fate comes out since everything is getting g soft sunset till then find another game to play

2 RepliesEdited by Killapete232: 6/1/2025 6:16:32 PMFirst and foremost go to the rite of the nine social hub, grab the gift of the nine chest for free 2020 gear and a few exotics. After that start by checking out Ikora at the Tower as she has a bunch of new fragments and aspects that may help you with build crafting. Then I'd suggest finding the right build for you to play, there are many weapons and exotics that have gotten reworked and will help make your builds more fun to use. Once you've gotten that out of the way go to your quest tab and enjoy the game at your own leisure. Also there is a load out list available to all players to save their load out be sure to check that out as it's a great way to save builds and swap on the fly whenever you desire to. The Journey tab is a great place to find objectives to further advance your guardian rank which can help unlock more load out slots if you want more to utilize for different builds. 4 RepliesHey. I’d start with the campaigns to be honest. See if there are any deals around with the Witch Queen and Final Shape being the 2 best dlcs in the Destiny franchise. Don’t worry too much about builds and weapons etc as a lot of this is changing next month with a new dlc release - Edge of Fate. I’d just play those campaigns and see if you’re enjoying it.

I'll give you a week untill you are done with al the new changes . In 2022 the game was somewhat fun . Now it is just a game made for streamers ..

Honestly. I wouldn't even recommend it. It's so sad to say that because it is a fun game, the abilities, guns, and builds. But I'd look for a better game to enjoy.

3 RepliesDo you have any dlc you haven't finished yet? If not, then I recommend holding off until the next dlc comes out, looking into it to find out if you want to play, and then starting off there. The game's weapons and armor system are being changed when the next dlc comes out, so holding off until then wouldn't be a bad choice.

2 RepliesWell from a story and power/ ability standpoint from 2022: LightFall: Introducing the location Neomuna and the subclass: Strand. The Final Shape: Introduces the subclass: Prismatic: A fairly large change/ update. Rite of the Nine: free update. Introduces a couple of ways to play dungeons for some updated weapons. Main update is an explorer mode- that gives tips about the dungeon. I would suggest: depending on your play time, only using one character. In July 2025, The Edge of Fate is scheduled to be the next expansion. This will see a large update to armor and stats. (Armor 3.0) Because of this you might not want to invest in upgrading three characters until after that expansion comes out. It’s going to change build-crafting a lot.
