Thanks to the nerf to Thread of Warding (5 seconds for -10 resil is absolutely abysmal), Warlocks have been left with nearly zero forms of survivability on strand.
— The only form of “Survivability” is Weavewalk, which drains your whole melee ability just to get you out of combat (and takes an aspect slot).
— Currently, Warlocks have no sustainable way of getting woven mail.
— No real ways of healing.
While strand is great for locking down rooms and killing bigger enemies, so are the other two classes. Warlocks need at least ONE form of survivability tech in the strand kit. And please don’t give us damage res, you saw how awful it works on Stasis (Plus woven mail already exists).
Given the whole of warlock’s strand kit is based around either suspend or threadling creation, I’d rather it be tied to one of the two. Any ideas are welcome.

1 Replythat's why builds are a thing, orbs of power help you to do that

9 RepliesWarlocks are based on HP regen. Your class ability heals you. Hunters on the other hand don't have ANY intrinsic healing from strand if I recall correctly. The best thing we can do is not get hit until our HP regens. Maybe you should try that. I will admit, though, strand is among the subclasses that need an overall survivability buff. Maybe not for the berserker, that banner is still god-tier.

Threadlings need to be overhauled on broodweaver. It should honestly be more of a support or hybrid subclass to spice things up, but Bungie hates support subclasses, so it probably won’t happen. I’d like to see threadlings pick up ammo and elemental pickups so you can maybe heal and get woven mail from orbs. For a class that’s about summoning minions, it honestly doesn’t feel like it. You’re better off building into a suspend build than a threadling build, which kind of defeats the purpose of the gimmick.

3 RepliesI wish they would add more to Threadlings for Broodweaver. They feel good on their own, and great with Swarmers, but they only feel super powerful with something like Euphony. I think threadling damage is fine where its at but it would be nice if they could do a bit more, like produce orbs or armor charges, something along those lines

Edited by Killapete232: 5/6/2025 2:26:28 AMKarnstein Armlet on warlock with a glaive and you have survivability on all warlock subclasses I have mained Karnstein Armlet since witch queen and have never taken it off. It's imo the best warlock exotic in the game for PvE and or pvp.

Agreed I feel like weavers call should get us woven mail when we absorb threadlings and have them make a woven mail field when they kill enemies idk
-
Tbh it needs to just be taken out of the game. The super is trash, the neutral game doesn't do anything the others can't, it has no gimmick worth investing in. It's a genuinely useless subclass.

You could always just run well lol

4 RepliesIt is a similar problem for strand hunters. I have no idea why Bungie dumped all the survivability onto titans in terms of healing and woven mail uptime.

I'd love to have a small addition to needlestorm that reads. "Dealing damage with a threadling recovers a small amount of health (like 10-20)" And a new fragment that says something like "defeating a target with a threadling provides 7 seconds of woven mail" And undo the thread of warding nerf. Also all non prismatic classes should have a unique ability close to transcendence in terms of power.
-
2 RepliesAll the non prismatic subclasses need 5-6 fragments to actually be decent. And negative stat penalties need to -blam!- off

Yeah the 5 sec "armour" is laughable. Maybe something around 15-20 sec would be more acceptable.
