Titan's have shoulder charge.
Warlock have wells to heal.
How's Hunter invisible an issue here?
As a hunter main since day one veteran player from D1, I can still spot invs hunters from distance and still manage to take them out with just my sidearm. And im using a controller on Xbox.

When you aren’t in lower skill SBMM, the invis players shoot faster and by the time you see them they have first shot typically.

1 ReplyShoulder charge is not a one shot without peregrin, and even then the buff is inconsistent on when it decides to proc. Then you have to hope shoulder charge decides to connect and not whiff to horrible melee tracking. By wells on warlock do you mean well of radiance? Or do you mean healing rifts? If you're referring to the actual well, then that should tell you enough that you're comparing a super to an ability that can be used at will. If you mean healing rifts, that locks you in place, where you can still be killed laughably easily. Not to mention the 3 business days it takes to just to place the rift.

1 ReplyLet me see you shoulder charge twice in 10 seconds. GTFO

2 RepliesSpy from TF2. The Predator. Void Hunters in PvP. Hollow Man. My Dad (who will totally be back from the store with the milk someday, just you watch). What do all these *blam!*s have in common? Invisibility. And it’s always annoying to deal with.

6 RepliesOkay let me have a well that moves with me and i get it every 15 seconds. Sounds good

I've read a lot of dumbshit on here, but you take the cake. You can see a warlock in a well & a titan running at you.

2 RepliesHonestly the issue is identity, invis is the only way we can build into as void hunter 4 aspects that either engage invis or compliment it. A smoke bomb that pings a radar (if you see it coming, it's less of a threat). Many people complained about the invis uptime since witch Queen and we still got a new aspect that, you guessed it, compliments invis. I personally don't have an issue spotting invis hunter (Eyes are pretty sensitive to movement in any form) however I can see why people do have issue with it. Lighting first and foremost. As for a proposed fix - getting damaged by bullets or any form of ability damage will undo the invisibility. - Change aspects to accommodate different playstyles than just invis - Invis will have a cool down of 10 seconds after exiting invis. Allowing a break between uptimes, even on sixth coyote

1 ReplyEdited by Milk: 4/18/2025 7:19:53 PMI'm terrible at PvP, but I can hazard a guess as to why it's a problem where the other two aren't. Generally speaking there are two things that are frustrating above all else in any game where your pitted against other players. 1. Abilites that take away information. 2. Abilites that give away too much information. Invis is annoying to fight against because for a very low cost you gain an advantage in any circumstance you might find yourself in. How much of an advantage you gain is largely dependent on a series of outside factors, but for the average player, fighting against an enemy you can't see is already frustrating, but when that invisibility comes very easily and can be repeated many times over very easily, I might be able to see why one wouldn't enjoy it. Shoulder Charge can be whiffed and then you're SOL. Rift makes you stand in one place which isn't advantageous in most situations. Invis can be popped wherever and is always a good thing to have since giving your enemies less information about yourself is always a good thing.

The radar addiction in the game is absolute and anything that undermines that is not tolerated by the player base

14 RepliesHonestly I think there's a significant crossover between pvp fans and colorblind individuals. I would wager a guess that plays in to how much crying there is about invis players in pvp, something about the colors not being as obvious to those people, and once they start crying, it's just an easy bandwagon for others to join in on. Every class has annoying things to contend with in pvp, to me, invis is not and has never been an issue.

I haven’t played in months, why are we talking about shoulder charge when it comes to busted titan abilities. did they finally nerf the titan diamond lance cause when in the right hands people would wipe a whole team just one punching lols that was one of the reasons i stopped playing.

1 ReplyA lone Shoulder Charge doesn't kill unless you have a certain exotic equipped. I've done Shoulder Charges with max Bolt Charge on hurt players and it STILL isn't enough to kill by itself. Wells restore health but you're confined to that spot. Under fire, Regen buys you an extra second, if even. Yeah it can give overshields, but you can break them by throwing a paperclip at them. Invis? You can move around freely. If they have the right dodge equipped, they can get it back easily. Using Omnioculous (I'll be surprised if I spelled that right) Invis can give you AND your teammates damage resist. Invis and Shotgun, nuff said there. Just to name a few things.

they can't use their ears i guess?

Edited by Vypur: 4/19/2025 4:58:22 AMDespite the fact i can be shot to -blam!- during the 3 second well animation and bright -blam!- glow 🤔

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 4/18/2025 7:29:22 PMIt’s invisible combined with smoke bomb and being able to loop the two abilities endlessly. Nothing wrong with invis or smoke bomb on their own. It’s an uptime issue caused by RDM and OTP being injected into the game simultaneously.

A couple of things; - People HATE it when they’re used to having information that is taken away. Invis removing radar pings does that. My most hated thing in PvP are people that spam Gemini Jester. It one of the few things that will genuinely make me quit a match. - Invis is extremely easy to spam. Dodge has an extremely short cooldown. - Invis for the longest time was 100% free. Shoulder Charge doesn’t 1 shot without a specific exotic and leaves you extremely open if you whiff. Rifts effectively root you and can’t be used effectively in most scenarios. Invis just recently had its radar range nerf - people are still adjusting to that. - It’s a “get out of jail free card” frequently. Due to its attachment to dodge, it is frequently used to slip away from gunfights. This effect is more prominent on console where both the dodge and invis remove aim assist - allowing for escapes to be very consistent. - The invis itself is hard to see. While not a bad thing necessarily, people who have a hard time seeing it get extra frustrated - this is compounded if they try to use it themselves and fail. - Hunter is by far the most popular class in PvP which leads to invis spam being more common than annoying Titan or Warlock setups. It’s also frustrating that a lot of top PvP exotics are Hunter - leading to a viewed bias from the devs. Invis isn’t broken, but Bungie does need to tweak it in some way (likely attaching a PvP only cooldown penalty on Invis Aspects) as it is extremely frustrating to play against.
-
It's because RDMs can give it 100% uptime.

2 RepliesI think that the invisibility has improved not because bungie keeps tweaking the game but because of the 4 k tv the players use I'm just guessing though on that, I got a 4 k tv I noticed that the invisibility was crystal when I faced hunters back in the day and really can we call it thermotic camo in stead of invisibility the game is set in the future after all.
