I wanted to bring attention to an issue with the Recycled Energy trait that I’ve noticed and that’s backed up by community data. The perk description states: “Reloading after defeating targets grants energy to your lowest charged ability.” However, in practice, this doesn’t seem to be working properly.
After extensive testing, it appears that:
• The perk only sometimes activates after a kill + reload.
• When it does activate, the amount of energy returned is so small it’s essentially negligible.
• There’s no clear timing window or feedback indicating when the perk is triggered.
• Community research suggests the granted energy is basically 0%, making the perk feel bugged or non-functional.
This makes the trait unreliable and not worth building around. It would be great if Bungie could look into the activation conditions and energy return values, as the concept of the perk is solid—it just doesn’t currently deliver on its intended functionality.
