Court of Blades Shiny Drop Rates are TRASH
I have been farming court of swords on expert for 4 days straight. with the smg finder slotted as well in the tome of want. I am max rank on both paths at the slab. I have seen ONE shiny gun in nearly 100 runs. Bungie, this is atrocious. If you are going to take away weapon crafting then UP THE DROP RATE for the love of all that is good.

I don’t even bother running expert anymore. It’s pointless.

3 RepliesFun math facts to support what you are saying. Obviously I don’t know the exact percentage Bungie put in for the rarity, but for arguments sake let’s say 1/100 is the chance for an additional perk or “shiny” weapon. 1/100 seems much better right? Well 1/100 is only to get the weapon. Not to get any one specific thing on the weapon. I’ll use the eyes unveiled linear fusion for the following example. It has 9 possible barrels and rolls with 2 each time. So a 2/9 chance for whatever barrel you want. It has 6 possible battery perks and rolls with 2 each time. So 2/6 or 1/3 to get what you’d like. Each perk slot has 7 possible perks and rolls with 2 each time on the “shiny” weapon. So a 2/7 chance 2 times. Finally a masterwork has a 1/5 chance to drop on the one you are looking for. So putting all of this together results in the following odds to get your desired end result. (1/100) * (2/9) * (1/3) * (2/7) * (2/7) * (1/5) =0.0000121 or a 1/82,687 chance to get your desired weapon. So if you run 82,587 more court of blades you might get what you want 🤣

Yea it really sucks. 1/100 for a shiny and 1/10000 for a shiny adept seems about right.

2 RepliesAgreed I have only had one all season. Honestly if I didn’t get this single one i wouldn’t believe they existed. I don’t want a hand out but this is starting to feel like WeightGate again.

I heard they increased the drop rate. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha that's all I got to say. I did 8 expert neither runs and got 3 adept swords and a adept MG. No shiny anything even normal weapons. Why add a perk you can get 3 perks on shiny and they don't even drop. Lol. It's crazy at this point but oh well.

I got 2 Adept shinies to drop after a ridiculous amount of hours grinding and they're dog -blam!- rolls these guns should automatically have at the minimum one set column of God rolls with every drop

Yea it's ridiculous how the drops are normal weapons should not be dropping way more often from expert mode then the adepts if that's the case we might as well just run the original mode then It was a horrible idea to literally make four iterations of one weapon series when it should have been three. *Normal *MW normal *Shiny adept
