Definitely needs a lot more
Edit: the final shape patrol is way better than the normal ones
I remember patrol in dreadnought way back you just -blam!- around and suddenly you are running into a dungeon on a quest. That was peak
Like the secret exotic class item mission, the fact that you have no clue what is going on or what to do, you just suddenly see a miniboss and then you're in a quest
That sense of mystery and exploration used to make destiny feel deep.
Like, the most interesting i got in patrol was talking to toland orb on the moon.

2 RepliesPatrol (at least the type that has been with Destiny since the beginning) has been neglected completely since The Throne World. We did have Neomuna, but that was a distinct departure from the more casual, less sweaty public patrol locations of the past. Then there was The Pale Heart, which wasn’t even a normal public patrol location. And now The Dreadnaught, which unlike the D1 version did not even bring us a regular public patrol location. Only good addition to patrol was the Leviathan, with its multi player activity and two separate smaller patrol areas. It was one of Bungie’s better efforts, but disappeared after its season ended. Public Patrol locations seem to be off the radar for Bungie. They simply ignore most existing patrol locations. Just isn’t a priority these days. They would rather put their efforts into tedious exotic quests than spicing up or adding any new public patrol areas.
