DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/Y53ZLMYS
ISSUE: Crashes in various areas of The Shattered Throne Dungeon, TFS's Ascent and Dual Destiny Missions, likely due to Taken visual effects, as all 3 activities contain taken and crashes occurred roughly around where large swathes of Taken enemies and Taken visual effects are. Crash occurs despite no lag beforehand.
REPRO STEPS: Try to perform a run of either of these 3 activities on an Intel IGPU
ACTUAL RESULT: A crash occurs randomly without any error message and no lag beforehand
EXPECTED RESULT: You are able to get through these activities smoothly, ignoring FPS drops or stutters due to use of an IGPU
NOTES: I have tried using the DGPU, and disabling the Steam and Xbox overlays, with no luck, as well as reducing all video settings, and the following Steam launch arguments:
-high -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -d3d11
2 RepliesHi there! Integrated graphics can cause the issues you are experiencing. As SilentButViolent mentioned, while the technology surrounding integrated graphics has improved, it still has limitations and is not officially supported for Destiny 2, as outlined below n the PC specifications pages, linked below. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360048721052-Destiny-2-on-PC-System-Requirements It appears you also have an nVidia GPU. You can try to disable the integrated graphics in the your laptop’s BIOS settings to see if this helps alleviate the issues. However, this may not resolve your issue. If you are not sure how to do so, please refer to your laptop’s user guide or support site for further guidance.

Edited by Nyamelia: 4/1/2025 1:55:05 PMI updated my IGPU driver (it was 4 years out of date) GPU 0. It is now 31.0.101.2135 (06/03/2025). I have also reinstalled Game Bar. I've also removed the DirectX 11 Launch Argument. NEW DXDIAG: https://pastebin.com/RN37vzFU

while integrated gpu's are much more capable nowadays, they are still not designed for a game that expects a discrete/dedicated gpu. there are times when the sharing of resources is just too much/too fast for integrated to handle. that said, it seems you done about all you can do (reduce settings, close any/all other running programs, etc) so those might just be activities you can't complete on that machine.
