Either buff it or remove it outright from heavies because there’s little to no point on this perk at all
I honestly think it’s a dead perk period on any weapon, but it’s literally useless on heavy

10 RepliesMalfeasence laughs in your face 😂

I mean for a while it was just the only perk that made sense. So bringing it down a notch just makes it the easiest to use now. No setup, no thought, just 10% extra damage on things that can take more than one hit.

34 RepliesNah vorpal has its uses and is OK. The issue is putting hip fire grip in pools for linear and crap like that. That perk has no damn use whatsoever except maybe an smg for controller
-
2 RepliesIt should proc with majors as well.
-
1 ReplyIt's just filler to bolster RNG. Not the worst perk though. I still enjoy my Seventh Seraph Saw with Auto+Vorpal from time to time!

It’s the best option for The Other Half if you want Eager Edge

1 ReplyEdited by WinterSolstice: 3/21/2025 11:23:27 AMImo on heavies it should be 15% it's a no requirement free perk but there are so many perks with basically 0 activation requirement that give more or similar buffs. On specials probably fine at 15% mostly because most special perks are 20%-30% so it'd be best not to make a free perk stronger. But for primaries? I think 20% is too low but sadly since they added it to Malfeasance they'll never buff it. Malfeasance with lucky matches heavy weapons so I doubt they'd buff it.

4 RepliesBungie when vorpal on heavy and rangefinder on hand cannons: "well, you see, we don't like when a perk feels like mandatory on a weapon, so we will nerf/kill it" Bungie when lone wolf/closing time on special weapons: "YOOO, GUESS WHAT?? *wink wink*"
-
I only have it on rev 0 for extra damage but yea you're right
-
The only weapons I like vorpal on is GL and Aisha’s Embrace.
-
2 RepliesOnly thing vorpal is good for is when you can't proc surrounded on bequest lol
-
2 RepliesI think I miss my cluster bomb rocket dps meta

4 RepliesI'm shooting Guardians in their Super in Guardian Games and it's not killing them out of their super. What is the point of Vorpal on a shotgun if it isn't going to do what is advertised?
-
2 RepliesThey never will. It’s the easiest activation for a damage perk in the game. It’s at 10%. Frenzy (which requires being in combat for 14s) is at 15%. Firing Line (which requires team coordination) is at 20%. Etc. It’s dead on heavies but I’m pretty sure that’s intentional.

There are far worse perks than Vorpal but agree it is auto dismantled if it does not pair with another damage perk. Even that still have to consider DPS perks like assassin varieties, mag related, reload, etc.
-
23 RepliesOh yeah, 20% on primaries is sooo bad /s It was good before they nerfed it and BnS came out.
-
1 ReplyBetter damage perks exist anyways
