LFG players are toxic and confusing
Playing Doctrine Dungeon with player and did 8hrs of dungeon to earn catalyst, afterwards I commended them and I great reppore with them.
Afterwards they turned toxic for know reasons what I did or earned the disrespectful manner towards me working towards my and their benefit.
Has anyone experienced this kind toxic player or left confused, because that is just weird and would like to their to be protection against ppl who like helping ppl.
Also gamers should consider their mental health.

Not always.... I've had some great lfg groups, but if you use it enough you'll certainly see all sorts going on. Sometimes players don't click, and that's fine... just gotta accept that sometimes. In this situation, so long as it's all done it's all good!! I'm not sure how I'd feel about an 8 Hour dungeon-a-thon, or how I would feel by tbe end of it... but i wouldn't put myself through that with other people. However, I probably spent longer, albeit not in one go, doing it by myself.

2 RepliesEdited by amazing_month041: 3/20/2025 7:52:17 AMOnce i joined a Wicked Implement run which required a GR11 but i told them that i did it many times and they let me stay so we went in and one of them used a rocket launcher while the other used a sword ( i think it was the lament ) on the tormentor with a well when we had a modifier which one give extra melee damage to enemies One of them popped the well the then tormentor killed him immediately with a slam the 2nd one died by the ads while i almost dealt enough damage alone for a two phase but the leader kicked me out for right after saying "why you not helping us?"

2 RepliesI immediately just gave up on lfg when I started seeing them ask for a guardian rank 11 only during pantheon. I'm sorry but if the system is filled with people who believe virtual numbers in a video game means anything then there's no point in worrying about them.

Yes. I've had many a toxic experience in LFG. I've also had some -blam!- experiences with the Clan Recruitment on these very forums. Best thing you can do is avoid Raiding or Dungeoning. They require the single most amount of comms in the game despite their simplicity. Lotsa kids rage & mald because they cannot explain or teach anything in an adequate manner. Or you have inebriated or high adults who cannot teach, fail to remember & have massive mood swings thanks to their addictions. LFG is a cesspool if you join comms. Like I said, don't bother with it. Find a Discord on Reddit & go from there.

I've come across a few people like that. Honestly, it's best not to worry about it, forget it ever happened, and just move on from it. There are plenty of other people playing the game that you'll probably never bump into them again.

1 ReplyI'm sorry to hear that it took 8 hours for a catalyst run, that's crazy. Even with teaching 2 new people, it didn't take that long. My best guess based on your description is immaturity and frustration. Some people do not know how to "bow out" if a run isn't goin well or know how to express frustration in a constructive manner. I saw you are not in a clan, and sent you a clan invite, I know that wasn't the nature of your post, but I find that having people you know that don't mind teaching or know what they are doing (enough) can eliminate the Wild West that is LFG. It really is a mix. I have had both great and horrible experiences on LFG. Our clan is small at the moment (we spun off of another clan) but we are CHILL and are here to get things done AND have fun while doing that. We also have a discord with Vex Incursions, Charlemagne, Lost Sectors, Guides, and more. If you join our clan, just PM me and I will send you an invite to it.

1 ReplyDo you think you'll be running an activity with them again in the future? If not, just chalk it up to people being strange and move on with your day. Alternatively, maybe they have a secret crush on you and that's why they flipped the script like they did. You know, like how a girl on the playground will punch you in the shoulder then run away back to her friends.

Normally, it's during the run. But sadly, there is no way to reasonably report people in these forums or in a ticket system. Bungie has made it incredibly easy for players like this to fester in this community. And it is one of the biggest killers of lfg.

It’s their egos fr, think they good or sum when you load into the raid and they have 2 clears and think they know everything 😭🙏
