However, I wanted to share some feedback about the Red War campaign and how its removal has impacted both veteran and new players. The Red War was an essential part of Destiny 2's story, providing players with an engaging introduction to the world, its characters, and the stakes of being a Guardian. It was a defining moment in the game’s history, and its removal left a noticeable gap in the narrative experience. Many players, both new and returning, have expressed their desire to see the Red War return in some form. For those who started playing after Beyond Light, they miss out on the powerful story of how the Guardians lost and regained their Light, the fall of the Last City, and the epic battle against Dominus Ghaul. Even for veteran players, it would be great to revisit the campaign, whether as a legacy story, a seasonal event, or a remastered version. I completely understand that Content Vaulting helps keep the game manageable in size, but if there’s any way to bring back the Red War—perhaps as an optional campaign in the Timeline section—it would be an amazing addition for players who want to experience Destiny 2’s original story.
