Dear Bungie Team,
I want to start by saying how much I appreciate the incredible world of Destiny 2 and all the work you put into evolving the game. However, I wanted to share some feedback about the Red War campaign and how its removal has impacted both veteran and new players.
The Red War was an essential part of Destiny 2's story, providing players with an engaging introduction to the world, its characters, and the stakes of being a Guardian. It was a defining moment in the game’s history, and its removal left a noticeable gap in the narrative experience.
Many players, both new and returning, have expressed their desire to see the Red War return in some form. For those who started playing after Beyond Light, they miss out on the powerful story of how the Guardians lost and regained their Light, the fall of the Last City, and the epic battle against Dominus Ghaul. Even for veteran players, it would be great to revisit the campaign, whether as a legacy story, a seasonal event, or a remastered version.
I completely understand that Content Vaulting helps keep the game manageable in size, but if there’s any way to bring back the Red War—perhaps as an optional campaign in the Timeline section—it would be an amazing addition for players who want to experience Destiny 2’s original story.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. Destiny 2 has grown into something truly special, and I hope to see past stories preserved in some way for future Guardians to enjoy.
Best regards,
halospartenstrike

They can’t bring back Bane Turtle.

9 RepliesThis was stated in a court of law during a lawsuit.....Bungie in all their typical wisdom has made it where in no way in hell could Red War ever be made to work with current Destiny 2. Seriously, even is we all offered to pay 100 bucks each to bring it back they could not....and we know all petty, greedy and gutter Bungie people are.

9 RepliesEdited by Hyperstorm76: 3/18/2025 3:01:44 PMApparently the Bungle rocket scientists deleted all data relating to The Red War and don't have any versions of the game so they needed to use player videos on the stupid Red Legion courtcase.

1 ReplyThey just told the courts they cannot do this. If they did it now, they would be in a lot of legal trouble. When asked to show videos of the Red War, they deferred to a content streamers page with old footage. Every cutscene can be viewed in multiple places on the Internet. Bungie has not plans to ever return this content. This is the official answer in court.

Ain't gunna happen, stop askin. You people need to get over it and just complain about it not still being in the game instead.

Lol, never going to happen.

They won't. They would need to rebuild from the ground up literally like every line of code and asset as they no longer have the files even internally its to much workto do for free.
