Palindrome is terrible
Bungie you guys dropped the ball on one of the most iconic weapon in D2. The Palindrome was top tier and held the title best hand cannon prior to sunsetting but the elemental arc change from void and the new perk pool has completely killed it in PVP and PVE. Please fix!!!!

Please fix!!!![/quote] I’ve thrown away my last 9 adepts. Trash tier. My old Pali easily is a far better choice. Could’ve just left it void and added repulsor and destabilizing. Made it worth chasing. Could’ve added jolting/arc to this icon, to make it relevant and worth pursuing.

It was the most requested Nightfall weapon to come back, and in typical Bungie fashion they just ignored us and kept on reprising the same -blam!- no one cared about. 3 years later they finally bring it back, only to then butcher it. It should have just stayed in the DCV.

I'd never run that horrible strike for that hand cannon. They gave out Palindromes a couple years ago, like Halloween candy. Even Adept versions.

1 ReplyI got 2 adepts from drops, bought a 3rd, and only kept one because the perks made me laugh and tossed it in the vault without testing it. Closing time and opening shot, lol whut. This week's GM was super easy so I'll grind some more, I really want explosive payload and rolling storm.

I got one with master of arms and to the pain (pali) It’s decent tbh but exalted with KA+EOS felt better

1 ReplyTo be quite honest, this HC is kinda dwarfed by Exalted truth due to it having no subclass traits and having minimal PvP perks. It having Explosive Payload in the 3rd slot is carrying it.

11 RepliesIn PvE, it can get Explosive Payload and Rolling Storm to spam lightning bolts. In PvP? Hm. A PvE handcannon being powercrept by other Handcannons that come from PvP. Imagine that.

If they drop outlaw for rapid hit it would be awesome with any of the damage perks but here we are 🤷♂️

I got pretty much a perfect godroll on my first drop(of it) in my third NF last night. Loving Exploding Payload and Master of Arms! The only thing I wish I had different, but just barely, is I got a handeling masterwork and wanted reload. But hey its a HH who doesn't like handeling on a HH? Is it still the best ever? Uhmmmm, its def not my prize and joy from D1. But I do put this up there as a really high S-teir legendary right now, but I think I have another I may still like better. May take time to test the two later today.

9 RepliesYou pretty much have to be arc to get value out of palindrome with ele cap to max the handling. Other wise yea worthless. Kinda of weird to make it comparable to top tier hand cannons but only if you play arc subclass. However with any other subclass its C tier at best.

I’m assuming they changed it to arc since they also brought back exalted truth. In theory we’d have a shot at a good arc and void 140.
