Adepts and the Expert Nether.
At this point i genuinely think bungie should implement a way to focus which adepts you want to drop with an increased chance, like weapons from Onslaught in into the light.
Been running nether expert hard, and half of the time i don't see adepts drops, and when i do it's almost always swords or the linear.
After now learning Adepts can also drop as shinys with double rolls and runneth over, one of which i have never eve seen, this is a feature that needs to happen asap.
EDIT. Wanna thank the people actually being civil and even giving ideas for a focusing system.
The whole point of this thread is for feedback about the state of the seasonal Adepts since it's thefirst time it's been done.
if you're here to vent about the state of the game or the usual "hrrm, me leaving, game bad." then all i gotta say is, i didn't ask bruh.
EDIT 2: Having all champs killed seems to not be guaranteed adepts like others have suggested, i have now had 4 out of 10 runs not drop adepts even though we killed all champions and got platinum.
it seems like a platinum is just a higher chance, but no guarantee for an adept drop.

19 RepliesCan I ask a genuine question Has anyone actually GOT a adept masterwork weapon with the double perk and origin? I've been farming expert nether 1st boss over and over and I've never seen one. What are the rates because we are approaching ludicrous levels of rate for me.

ive maybe completed 4 of the expert versions and didnt get one..im sure others have completed more but from what l have heard from my friends, it seems the drop rate is horrible for them Ive had a few drop from the normal version with the double perks quite a few times. Surely they can fix this mess up as l dont see a use to even trying to complete a expert nether unless you can get the masterworked versions

I keep getting the adept auto rifle and all I want is the adept grenade launcher. It's frustrating.

5 RepliesThis a missed opportunity for Bungie. Bungie could've at least guaranteed and adept weapon drop, with double perks, at the end of every expert run. You're guaranteed an adept weapon drop at the end of every GM, why not the nether. I don't get it. I ran it on expert many times and 90% of the times adept weapons don't drop. Is so frustrating and because of this, I find myself playing warframe more often now. I like destiny 2, but the decisions Bungie is making are so dumb that is making players quit or find other games to play. The rare drops worked when the game was popular. Now, bungie can't afford to continue with the rare drop strategy. I have not seen an adept weapon drop with double perks yet. I don't think they exist. Is all a bunch of dog poop!!

1 ReplyI knew this system would seem good only superficially. We get lots of drops, but without anything in place to act as bad luck protection it doesn’t really matter. Adept and double perk drop chance is low. Double perk seems remarkably low as I’ve only seen a single double perk drop, and it wasn’t adept. Adepts with garbage perks are still garbage. Double garbage perks are still garbage. Lots of drops is nice but for this reason it doesn’t excite me. The tiered system they have planned for the Frontiers year will likely be the same. A fully enhanced tier 5 drop with garbage perks will still be garbage. This doesn’t get me to play nearly as much as crafting did.

I ran 2 experts yesterday n not 1 adept oh well not like they’re game changers. I’ve gotten masterworks that are better. Adepts offer nothing worth bragging about. Says adept for no reason the masterworked nether weapons are better.

7 RepliesThey have you hooked on the hamster wheel that is their useless loot… why would you grind your eyeballs until they bleed for something you literally already have in your vault? Loot is trash this game is dead find something new and play it. People say it’s casual friendly and it is not. It is not casual friendly. Can a weekend warrior jump on and engage in the most up to date content without YouTubing how to do it? Probably not. So much of this game is locked behind streamers on YouTube it’s ridiculous honestly. You can casually rage about PvP and the stupid azzz modifiers they have in the SEASONAL activities that make them play like a stinking gm screw this game I want my money back.

Here's the short-term solution: Have Nether 'pay me' chests drop adepts... have the font focusing inform what spawns in those chests. Because 'right now' it's my information that 'adepts' only drop from boss encounter chests. Then, you would use the boon... and then it would be better. There is a boon that shows what weapon are in those chests. Or, don't worry about it.

1 ReplyIt would be nice if an adapt and/or “shiny” was guaranteed with a full clear and we could focus that drop with the Tomb of Want. Not only would it make the grind better - but it would also incentivize clearing the entire activity rather than just farming the first couple encounters.

7 RepliesAbout all you can do is make sure to always have your tome of want active, running blue scripture for episodic or legacy weapons and a purple for the archetype you are after. Doesn't target adept or shiny but gives you more rolls of the RNG dice in the categories you are interested in.
