What's the deal with Hoil?
since returning to the game i've noticed people love this exotic. I understand it was nerfed a bit but having used it in onslaught..i really don't see what's so great about it. the regen isnt near as fast as people claim and montecarlo doesnt seem to function while it's equipped. rather use doom fangs or even synthos as a titan with the appropriate shards ect. what are your thoughts on this exotic?

It does improve ability damage, but must agree that there are better exotics and builds a for ability regen for each subclass. If the buff duration was longer I could understand (even if the regen was adjusted to compensate) just to give a better window to chain the abilities. The builds to make the most of it are ones that use roaring flames, offensive bulwark, and knockout to keep the buff active constantly (they count as powered melees). Better than armamentarium, but hardly a top titan exotic anymore imo.

It’s always “Meta broken OP insane unkillable” until you try it in a GM and “yeah it’s ok, it’s fun”. I love testing new builds and so far on Titan, prismatic: syntho, cuirass of the fallen stars and point contact are still my top pick. Doomfang on Void Titan is also great.
