Nether activity IS THE WORST ACTIVITY FOR SOLO PLAYERS!
This activity is the worst activity I've every played solo in this game. Seriously have ppl fighting tormentors in close quarters without any cover, 0 health regen, urns/vases with no health orbs or ammo......f@#%%g miserable experience. Esp to tie an exotic quest to it BEFORE your patch for health regeneration is messy. Dang near wanted to throw my entire console at the TV.

Not about bugs. Or youll have to explain how having to fight a tormentor in close quarter with zero cover (there is covers btw) Is a bug. No health isnt a bug its a skill issue. No health orb is unlucky (thats why you build you char accordingly) No ammo is unlucky as well (even tough it never happened to me and dear god i spam spécial ammo lile crazy)

The zeldas, Doom, duke nukem, final fantasy, up to morrowind, skyrim, fallout, whatever. Its what I'm used to. My frigging world, get the f*ck out, lol. With that said, the nether is just not something you can go into on rampage mode if you go in solo. You need to fight from a distance and you have to play it real smart. one example, if you have to stand on a plate, as soon as you see red on radar get the hell away fast and fight from a distance. Clear the ads then get back on the plate and rinse and repeat. Then after every engagement you need to do the pot smashing ritual for ammo and life. The downside is it takes way long, but you will finish with almost all your revives. The tormentor is rough, no doubt about it, but the rest is no real trouble if you use your head. It just takes long and will get old. I finished a run last night with only one death, and thats because an -blam!-hole roaming glomer snuck behind me out of nowhere while I was dealing with the bird air force and husks. I basically play the game to play with guns, and shoot enemies, trees, and buildings, so if I can do the nether solo anybody can. I can see it will get old fast. I have been doing a few runs every day since it started and I'm starting to think about doing other things. The worst part is they keep making you go back for different crap. Oh hey, Zavala's toilet is backing up, go to the nether and find a plunger. Oh looky, Ikora needs to shave her head again, go the the nether and explore to find her a razor. I can see the nether becoming a bad dream.

I tried doing the SMG exotic mission today and you have to rely on RNG to get a blight to spawn to make progress with the mission. If the blight does not spawn you can't do the mission. Is this Bungie's idea of fun? WTF...just give the exotic mission to players bungie so they complete it !!! I spent like an hour and a half trying to get the the blight to spawn and it never did. I was so frustrated that just said -blam!- it... I'm not doing this garbage. I was trying to do it solo too because no one was doing it on the lfg. Bungie is clueless and out of touch with the community. frustration does not equal fun bungie, it equals players quitting the game for good.

2 RepliesI agree with you, but consider this. I did the activity for the second time early this morning. I really didn’t want to, but you can’t get the new exotic if you don’t. So I hopped in not knowing anything about the activity really. All I knew was the health thing. Like me, many people you play with may not be aware of the revive tokens. I really didn’t want to be there so I stood in front of the tormentor blasting it with my glaive. I was confused why my teammates were hiding. Those guys were so cool. If it was me I would have left 😆

Eh I agree to an extent. I usually just stay far back. Sure it would take longer but it’s better than dying multiple times. For the “nice” people saying not to play solo, it’s in between play solo or pair up with someone you don’t know who is even a decent person. Theres a 7 times out of 10 the person is a know it all jerk. I think I’d rather just not have to deal with random players at this point. If I need something did I can get my fiance to help me with it.

6 RepliesTbh i did so many runs solo and i had no problems. Ik its always the game's fault when you struggle ofc. But try to say for once that YOU have to change and adapt to the game. Not the opposite

I swear this community is just so full of complainers and crybabies. Get better, adapt. It’s PvE, it’s literally robots. If you somehow aren’t able to do this objectively easy activity, it’s time to hang up your hat

3 RepliesIt’s tolerable with other people but solo it’s one of the most annoying and obnoxious things I’ve experienced in this game. Fighting the boss tormentor is just…. obnoxiously tedious.

It's manageable, I've completed several solo myself. The Tormentors are a PITA , I won't deny that in the least, but kicking the sh*t out of them with a team is thoroughly satisfying.

After completing Expert Solo last tuesday, even by taking advantage of the spaghetti coding the activity had, i would never do that difficulty of the activity Solo ever again, going for Explore or Advanced matchmaking for that. Took me 2 hours or less due to me playing carefully (even though i finished with 3 lives). Thank goodness the Taken Servitor final boss got a room to camp in. Good thing Bungie’s rebalancing Nether today.

I prefer Outbreak and Wishender. Both let you effectively engage enemies at a safe distance.
