With the return of the Dreadnaught, it got me feeling nostalgic for the old activity the Court of Oryx and how much time I spent on patrols and rushing to that area in the hopes of finding a full group of Guardians to run the event with.
And it saddens me that the return of the Dreadnaught doesn't even have a Patrol Zone now to run with randoms popping in and out. I would have easily plopped down a bag of silver to return to my old stomping grounds, but... not this.
My main complaint about the Pale Heart was the empty patrol zones. It was all so lonely and I quickly lost interest in being there. And like the return of Titan, I loved Deep Dives and Salvage, but... no patrol zones like we used to have. And now the planet is gone again.
Anyone else miss the OLD Dreadnaught (and Titan) or am I just strange?

Exploration on the OG dreadnought was top tier and the aesthetic of it and constantly pumping tier 3s for new lights at the court 🥹

Yeah I feel the same way👍.

Could have made them taken. Just another missed opportunity!

6 RepliesThe pale heart could be a great way to bring back vaulted content but let’s see how frontiers is planning to handle its content and to see if vaulted content will return

I couldn't agree more! What a missed opportunity! As for the vaulted content that could have been brought back but didn't, not only they took it away in the first place (after we purchased it), which pisses me off, but they cannot even be bothered to recycle it the right way. I mean, they have it already. They literally could place it back into the game and make us re-purchase it. Was this not the purpose of all the vaulting idea? To make players purchase the same content again, and again, and again? At least bring it all back as it was before. How difficult could it be? I just don't get it.

i dont miss the old one but i didnt like destiny 1 once they switch ghost voice.. peter was best and it was hard for me to get into destiny 1

Patrols are outdated and boring. You actually have to try to die playing them and the threatening music in most of them is actually funny when you see some poor red bar strafing you trying to survive you and not the other way around.

OP: Not strange…nostalgia is probably what brought many of us who left, back! It did me. I bounced after the Sunset debacle and dove into WarFrame (MR24)…and returned to Destiny’s shores after watching some vids my (then) young son and I had made…powerful memories! However, my engagement with the game changed; there’s more stuff that I don’t bother about, eg, raids / dungeons, chasing this or that, etc.; I pootle about on my vanilla builds catching up on unfinished Seals / Triumphs / Quests, eg, did Conqueror Seal recently…it only took me 10 years! 👻 This old tortoise likes the Destiny Universe - what’s left of it…it is still a rather unique place, with gunplay and environments that are a bit special, imho…and even though I don’t do much of the hardcore stuff, it’s enough for me! BHQ shenanigans / the BDF and the ‘Git Gud’ Brigade are the flip side of the coin. 🧐 The number of epic Guardians that I’ve encountered, and seen, over the years, are what makes the Destiny Universe what it really is - to me, at least, ie, a delight to see and a joy to behold! 🥳 That epic 12-man mission closed my 10-year compact with Destiny…I’m hanging on by a few strands only…I want the game to get better and not to wither and fade away…though, obviously, that’s beyond my control. 🤔 Like many, I believe / hope, Destiny’s potential remains to be fulfilled…maybe that might happen…maybe not…time will tell?! 🧐 In the meantime, I shall Carry On and Be Happy-ish! Until I don’t! Maybe I’m strange?! 😉 That is all. Ease Springs! 🫡 MDGA

Edited by Motorhead England: 2/12/2025 5:39:32 AMI think many of us vets looked forward to seeing the Dreadnaught return. But, like iconic film remakes, they are usually substandard with some changes that leave fans of the original very sad and disappointed.

3 RepliesSadly every time I jump back into D1 one of the places I always go is the Dreadnaught, Yet I almost never get a chance to have anyone else there that wants to jump into the Court even if I start it and other people are around (just few in number) I would have MUCH more preferred it to be an open ship with patrol Zones the court ect. Then make all our activities like we had them with Escalation Protocol. Surely A LOT more people would be happy and actually enjoy this season!!! But noooooo they have to make it so I really don't care if I play anymore or not (emphasis on NOT, even though I am a little bit!)
