Dead Messenger is WORSE than a legendary GL.
WHY??????? Why even make an exotic if its just going to be objectively worse than its legendary variant? 85 damage compared to 131 is RIDICULOUS. You can’t hit anyone with more than one wave, making the weapon USELESS. Yet bungie is still making ornaments for the weapon, so clearly they havent forgotten it. Can we please get Dead Messenger to be at LEAST equal to a regular wave frame? That’s kinda how balance is supposed to work. You aren’t supposed to RUIN a weapon because it was good “that one time”.

i agree. Dead messenger + catalyst wasn't easy to get solo. needs a buff in pve big time.

Personally id like them to make the damage types all combined and remove the hassle of cycling through damage types. Im always changing damage type by mistake while trying to activate/pickup something else. They should do that for hardlight, borelis to. And maybe another buff of somekind to elevate them further.

You guys are ignoring it's greatest value! It's my go to weapon for that weekly bounty in Cosmodrome. Without it, I would have to carry three GL's AND give up space for necessary weapons in such challenging content. Just git good! Took me forever to get the catalyst but it was needed.

4 RepliesIn PvP, the damage reduction was due to a time period for a few months after its release where you could get an instant 1-shot with very little effort using the Warlock Arc slide melee or Tempest Strike. What I think they could do is revert the wave length nerf they gave it.

5 RepliesIt was nerfed so that players wont abuse the no brain gl + arc warlock slide melee, absolutely braindead playstyle and it was nerfed justifiably. In pve the damage is unchanged, in fact it was buffed this season. It was ruined for cheese lovers who like free kills without any effort.

Streamers and Crucible Players cried about it being OP a few Seasons back so Bungo swung the nerf hammer. Been dead ever since.
