You guys cannot seem to get a seasonal activity right. Most players have hated every single activity you have released for years at this point (minus the coil). Honestly, if you just mimic the menagerie, or just copy and paste it right back into D2 with some new flair - you would get praise. Menagerie worked so well. The loot was able to be targeted, while still maintaining RNG through random perks. But at least we didn’t keep getting weapons we didn’t want. We felt like we were in some sort of control of our loot, while still needing to grind for it.
Then, the gameplay. It was pretty fast paced, none of this minutes on end of running around looking for materials and chests and looking for enemies. And the encounters felt unique and enjoyable, so we actually didn’t mind grinding a little bit for a god roll.

So they can add their changes/updates and ruin that activity as well???
-
Why ? This is the Bungie we got now ….lack lustre rewards , silly modifiers …will be another meh activity in bloated d2

I've just always enjoyed the 6 player activities way more than the 3 player ones. I wish bungie spent more time investing in larger team based pve modes. The constant 3 players pve modes are just boring at this point. That 12 player mode at the end of Final Shape was still one of the most epic things I've played in Destiny. Hopefully they have more planned in Frontiers

I didn’t like the coil and don’t understand why people liked it so much. I feel like the game took a huge downturn with Lightfall and it hasn’t recovered. Season of the Seraph was the last time D2 was actually fun for me personally.

They took me it and made variations of it for 3 plus years in the form of various seasonal activities. It got old. They need to do more stuff like nether, where the way you play is entirely different to other activities.

2 RepliesEven if they brought menagerie back, it would have a Grandmaster contest ultra sweat mode as the only option with decent drops just so the streamers have something to brag about being better at than the regular players.. Imo the main issue isnt the activities we get nowadys itself, its the attitude behind them. Bungie tried turning this casual fun pve looter shooter into budget dark souls. And thats simply not fun. turn brain off and grind for rolls was fun. Now you have to wear gaming socks while drenching your gaming chair in sweat in every single activity. Not my cup of tea anymore sadly. Menagerie, forges and old dungeons were so popular because they were farmable. Nowadays activities are so unfun, that im over running them before even finishing them once. I used to have hundreds of clears on old dungeons, now i dont even try the new ones. Not cause i cant do them, just because they are not designed to be fun but just challenging instead.

1 ReplyTLDR - No, Wrath of the Machine

1 ReplyMy main complaint with this franchise and the top item that kills my excitement for post-expansion content & the desire to log in is the stale AF seasonal model. We’ve been doing the same ol cookie-cutter stuff every season since Shadowkeep. The only time we get meaningful fresh content with some meat on the bone is with the annual expansions.

5 RepliesLiterally just give us old content back so we can complain about the fact it's rehashed and how Bungie doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. Yay 🥳

Bump!

5 RepliesMenagerie wasn’t as good as people remember
-
1 ReplyThat won't work. People are so tired of Bungie just bringing back old content, that no matter what it is the majority seem to spite them for even considering it. Even if it was something that was once loved like Menagerie, people will just complain that Bungie should have invested in something new.

2 RepliesCoil and menagerie were boring.

1 ReplyMenagerie was a -blam!- fest, only thing fun about it was the Legend version and doing the triumphs for Shadow Bungie hasn't released a genuinely fun Seasonal activity since Escalation Protocol

2 RepliesDamn I miss the coil lol
