Our vaults can't handle this, Bungie. We have no vault space left. Having every weapon outside of raids be non-craftable, and requiring us to store every good roll in our vaults is unsustainable. Setting aside the fact that crafting is just superior to rng, we have no more space left to hoard rng rolls. This model doesn't work, and is also driving away all the players who don't enjoy beating their heads against your terrible, perk-weighted rng wall.

like it or hate it idc weapon crafting is the best thing to happen to this game and that's pure facts.
-
Agreed 1110% Its pushing me away, you never know when Bungie will buff something or change some meta and a previous roll will be extremely good. Even splicer weapons returned and I have old god rolls but the new versions don't have the same god roll but now have an additional weapon talent. Crafting was our saving grace, without it I just feel stressed and don't enjoy loot and don't enjoy playing.

this is why we need crafting it was simple, vault clean effective and simple. Where ar ewe going to spend our red border infusers when we ran out of items to red boarder?
-
Dropping crafting was one of the biggest mistakes Bungie has done and they do have a fair number of huge mistakes when it comes to this game.

5 RepliesBungie: Crafting made Datto cry, he gives us free advertising through his channel and speaks for the community, or so they tell us. 🤷♂️

Edited by Leo_C441: 2/7/2025 4:59:09 AMThere must be a middle place between crafting and Random rolls. Let me try this: Crafting a weapon can be filling the perks weapons slots with rng drops. You fill each perk combinations with your rng drops. As you get many drops, you fill your perk slots and at the end you should be able to craft with every perk you dropped before. It is so simple.

3 RepliesLmfao, these comments are hilarious. They are all accounts who don't participate in endgame or only have 1 character. Don't listen to them. Vault space is an issue for those of us who actually play ALL of the game.

What we need is Gear Crafting. Weapons Crafting works. See Warframe. Random Rolls work. Should be Dismantle to unlock perks for Crafting. Your Vault is filled because of Random Rolls not because of Crafting. Planetary resources should’ve never left the game and should’ve instead been an added component to weapons crafting. We need Bungie to expand on crafting. Not remove it. If you want a really simple game that’s a fps shooter then I highly recommend Halo or Doom. MMOFPSRPG Especially that RPG aspect… Can be incredibly difficult for a vast majority of people. I know it’s complicated for you. That’s why you have YouTubers and content creators to do the thinking for you. Destiny is supposed to be play your own way. Which means unlimited creativity. Which can be difficult for people that aren’t creative.

4 RepliesWe enjoyed crafting and still WITH crafting, we kept complaining about the extremely limited vault space in a looter shooter thats been around for 8 years. A LOOTER shooter thats entire purpose is to collect loot. What did Bungie do? Pretty much removed crafting AND didnt give us more space. One way to cut resources and screw the playerbase that keeps paying 100 bucks annualy for their barely kept alive video game...

I’m 50/50 with this I’m happy that raid weapons and seasonal weapons are craftable, since that removes the frustration and annoyance that comes with burn out having at least a way to get them is fine But I think it should have been limited to just those two Which it was and having the new way to enhance guns would have been nice to, meaning you were always happy to get random weapons since you will never know when you will get it again and it’s easy to get since I got a rocket launcher that was almost the exact same as mine and thought “nice I can give it to other class” but now I’m not even trying to keep the new weapons… just cause none of them seem appealing to me including the grenade launcher cause IMO; there are better guns

Except it wasn’t

I am a systemic hoarder and my vault is always hovering on full but have started to take a disciplined monthly clean out. Except for exotics if not used for four months in the bin, works most of the time except for the iconics!
-
3 RepliesI think if you complain about vault space you should have to submit your vault for inspections. Also crafting was supposed to be a catchup mechanic, not the actual grind
-
Mistakes are all they have left to give.

I honestly don’t even know why I should buy the battle pass…. Unless I have ppl that want to raid with me… How am I gonna use my “deepsight harmonizers”

1 ReplyEdited by Joulevette12: 2/7/2025 1:56:54 PMCrafting is only a mistake for endgame like raids and dungeons it kills it long term so guys if you want a crafted "Fate bringer" better grind it out this season because VOG will be dead next season or in a few months like the rest

4 RepliesLike genuinely asking, I play everything besides pvp (Until this season with the scout buff) in this game frequently, every season, and I have only really missed a couple of guns Ive wanted. I try to keep a gun type per element or multiple if they are different types of play styles/exotic combos they work with, and I'm at 268/700 in vault space. Do people just keep everything they find or what? Not just you or anyone in particular but seeing the vault space being brought up in other posts and Dattos vault cleaning videos. (But content creators make sense they kinda have to keep a lot of pvp guns for reviews and stuff, and pve to for if that meta just comes around)
-
1 ReplyI think we need a system that allows us to break down guns to collect the perks for crafting and as the gun is used more you can upgrade them to have multiple perks options and advance the gun to adept it would be a win win
-
Agree on vault space. Hell I'd be fine with having tabs for multiple weapon roll so only one counts a vault space but when I hover over it....I see all the rolls I have for a particular weapon. This would also work for armor as well.
-
I only play my titan and I am at capacity most all the time in my vault. I think I'm just going to purge everything

I am opposed to crafting seminal weapons since it destroys the activity incentive for me, but if they were to keep revalue guns craftable while having adepts and adepts with double perks as non craftable, I would be very happy.

5 RepliesEdited by Artemis Luna: 2/6/2025 7:08:08 PMI've been trying to pitch this solution to crafted vs RNG ever since crafting was first added but... Personally I think ALL weapons should be craftable, BUT with several of the more coveted perk options not able to be applied through the crafting menu, instead only able to drop on random rolled versions of that weapon.. E.g. you want to CRAFT a Tinasha's Mastery IB rocket sidearm, farm 5 red borders to unlock the pattern and you can do so, BUT if you want Chill-Clip in column 4, you can only get it on a random rolled drop and then enhance it when you get the roll you want (with all enhanced weapons able to be reshaped to change masterwork like you can with enhanced adepts weapons currently, so then it limits RNG to 4/4 godrolls instead of 5/5) That way you can absolutely craft an objectively "good" version of any weapon once you unlock the pattern for it, but if you want the absolute best version of the weapon then go farm for it the old fashioned way!
-
29 RepliesWhat's this "we" you speak of? I don't have any vault problems because I don't hoard unnecessary junk in it, delete your trash don't keep every roll you have. Crafting has had such a damaging effect on this game.
-
No one said they were smart or clever.. so far i feel like they are touching all our behinds in non appropriate ways with not including crafting this season. but yea just like Corbin says we all Hoard and its a part of the game sadly.. and all cause the deepsight harmonizers are to rare.
-
4 RepliesI honestly don't mind farming for the weapons. But the vault space concern is a big issue.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Azaezel: 2/6/2025 8:52:53 PMThey don't care. they are literally farming player time and exposure to micro transactions. The problem is money. It has almost completely corrupted bungie i believe. Much like the rest of the world.
