Tome of want: a primer quest bugged?
Hey so, I’ve been stuck on step 3 of 5 for hours now. Burned through tens of legendary crumbling scriptures and keep getting zero progress despite my rewards being given? Is there something I’m missing?

I can't believe I'm saying this (well actually it's Bungo, so yes I can) this quest IS STILL BUGGED! We're almost at the end of the season to be able to complete this and there's been no fix FOR MONTHS! At least just auto complete it for us. Jeez, and they wonder why people are leaving the game.

I'm starting late and I'm literally stuck on 1 of 5 on the A Primer quest. I've activated 3 purple and 2 yellow scriptures and have fully infused all of them and received the rewards. But I'm still stuck on 1 of 5. I've been reading the other posts and how is it possible that the bugs in this quest are getting worse. I've also got 2 parts of the Revenant Slayer catalyst quest that i can't abandon. Parts III & IV

I guess Bungie just gave up trying to fix this quest. Quest will not progress even when using the tome correctly (using up charges with selected rewards dropping but no progress on quest step). Very poor Bungie

Okay but for real, how is this not only fixed yet but we still haven’t heard about an ETA for the fix?!?! I mean, if you’re not going to fix this in a speedily manner and allow us to complete content we’ve paid for, could you at least though some silver this way or something?!

I am stuck on the same step. However, I think the problem is way beyond a broken step on a quest. I don't enjoy the game anymore, and they will NOT get money for broken content. Kinda sick and tired of going thru this endless cycle of broken crap that they put out there. Great work, Bungie! Just. Great. Work. "Play nice. Take a minute to review our Code of Conduct before submitting your post." But y'all get the idea.

I'm also stuck. I tried multiple times on multiple characters. There was a post on nets saying you hav to do the process correctly: Add a weapon scripture - then a weapon legendary then activate. Yes the is exactly as I did it - numerous times. Bungie when will this be fixed. You guys always quickly issue hate matches for cheeses or exploits - but leave the story quests broken. Doesn't seem like a good plan. It's been 2-3 weeks and I can't progress story. With recent patches and updates I expected this to be fixed. Please provide an update on this thread soon. Thanks

3 RepliesThe same for me! It even caused an argument with a friend. I done this over and over. Even abandoned the quest and try to restart it, but when I picked it back up it still had my progress with Ritual activated completed and Ritual rewards stuck at 2/3 for step 3 of 5. I have done 3 more Ritual Rites and complete all 3 charges 3 on all of them. Still no progress on the quest. I really hope Bungie starts caring about quality of the game because this is really getting bad. I think they need to hire qualified people to get this game straighten out. Bungie can you please get your priorities aligned. The kind of quality of work is unacceptable to your customers. Please work harder or put the right people that know what they are doing in the right places. There has been way to many glitches and bugs lately. Thank you. Please fix these issues.

2 RepliesI've been stuck on step 4/5 for a few days now. Initially, I slotted in an episodic weapons blue scripture along with the exotic amorphous scripture. I then realized I would get an ascendant alloy for that since I slotted an armor scripture as the blue one, so I suspended the ritual and lost the materials, and instead slotted in a blue episodic armor scripture along with another amorphous one. To me, it seemed that because I suspended the ritual after first activating it, the quest step might be expecting the rewards from that specific instance that I suspended, and will not progress the step by slotting in new scriptures, despite the rewards being given. I'm not sure if this could be the issue, but maybe it can help shed some light on how the quest steps were actually coded. Either way, I can't progress the step, have done multiple exotic scriptures and gotten the rewards, still no progression. Please fix this ASAP as I do not want to be waiting months like the people in episode Revenant were when they had a bugged quest issue.

I am also having this issue. My ritual is activated and I complete the activity with it, i get my rewards, but it awards zero progress. Funny enough, I actually had to restart my game for it to even show that I had the ritual activated, I should have known something was up then.
