Bring back Leviathan raids
None of the raids should have ever left. Yes they should bring them all back. Put it in the legends section.
The old Leviathan raids would be perfect for new lights as introduction to raid experience.
Sure, keep the raid exotics in the kiosk if players want to spend spoils of conquest on it. Alternatively they could earn it in the raid.
To reiterate, before anyone goes “No Old Content, only New content!!” - this was content that was already in the game and should not have been removed in the first place.
Believe it or not, old and new players are not a fan of the amount of content that was vaulted and want it back in the game

**Edit:** some people have replied that it would take time and money to do it. Obviously, this is the case, and the company obviously has the resources as it is a very successful game and they are backed by Sony.
They are not an indie developer. Sure it can’t happen at this very moment but it should happen in the near future.
People are right to be upset about removed content, especially Raids and Campaigns.
Those saying “Only New Content” - do not seem to fully grasp the extent of which ‘vaulting’ has damaged this game. As far as I can see, the pros of bringing it back far outweighs the cons in the long term health of the game.

It should never have been removed. They could cycle them in and out seasonally if they want to use the lame space excuse. Rework the lighting and ai to meet current engine spec and I would personally come back to play. I would image a fair amount of people would as well. After we fall for the nostalgia baiting again, maybe you can sell a season pass or two while we are back. And where is xol, escalation protocol, and my nokris at?

But make it one raid. Use the objective encounters as in-between encounters to the boss encounter.

1 ReplyThe Leviathan raid is the perfect entry point for guardians who have never raided. It’s a good mix of add clear and mechanics per encounter and if you’re a seasoned raider you could put yourself in the prestige mode and go for those adept Leviathan weapons and armour glows. I’m not a game dev but I don’t see how it would be hard to re-introduce it into the game. Increase power level of combatants, add modifiers, add surges. Leave out champions as its legacy content. See how the sandbox performs, if we nuke everything who cares there’s always prestige mode if you want a challenge. It could be fun and they could bring back a lot of players by bringing it back. Just my 10 pence worth folks.

Pre-Order the Deluxe Edition - Day 1…only for Bungie to removed content :/ Bungie - But you guys Earn loot & had fun. Me - But you removed the reliability of old Raid & lair, then sunset all the armor perk & weapon…then try to Reprise weapon??? Bungie - Get Good.

1 ReplyMaybe putting some playtime in the game might validate what you're saying. There are way too many people in these forums who either hide their stats or have hardly any playtime, but they are the biggest complainers, a lot of the time.

2 RepliesEngine had multiple changes since than plus the sandbox is different it would need recoding and reworking it's a lot of work for something that they can't sell you. The dev team for destiny 2 has been gutted to bring it back would mean delays and cutting down planned content to meet development deadlines. It's just a money pit at this current point.

As much as I would love to see those Raids come back, it'll get too much backlash. Every aspect about next Season is just us returning somewhere. We're returning to the Dreadnought for the Seasonal Activities. We're returning to Rhulk's ship for the Dungeon. We're returning to Vault of Glass for the craftable weapons. If Bungie were to bring back the Leviathan Raids, they would have to do it where everything else we're getting is brand new. And with how much Bungie loves to reuse stuff, that's not happening any time soon.

16 RepliesThe problem with naysaying "No Old Content, Only New Content" Is that they have a good point. Bungie cannot simply flip a switch and make Leviathan playable again. They would need to rebalance and QC and possibly redesign entire elements that do not work in the current sandbox or simply don't work in the engine anymore. And all of that time they spend futzing around with old code could be spent on new things instead. New things built around the game as it is now, not the way it was in 2017. Would I like to play Leviathan again? Sure! Would I trade a new dungeon/raid/exotic mission for it? No!

I would love for them to bring back leviathan and the raid lairs back as an open world raid experience. We could play any of the encounters from the main raid and the lairs in any order we want, or go explore and mess around in the underbelly. I would love to Sherpa new players through an experience like that.
