Anybody Else’s Clan On Life Support?
Mostly curious. Still enjoy the game, but many in my clan have moved on years ago. I have no interested in joining a “community of linked clans” or anything like that requiring extensive hops to jump through. Just curious to see if anyone else is in a similar boat.

Well, we allow time away as long as we have had communication. Black Ops did take some but we have us set up there too. You can't bank your whole clan on just one game. Because no game lasts forever. And I've found that no matter what people will come and go. You can't stop that. All you can do is try to enjoy the time you do have together. And if the fit is right, that connection goes through games and time. My clan has been a group since 2009. You have to learn to roll with tides. Otherwise you get swallowed by the sea. We will have ten to twelve people on in peak hours but we are cross region. Not in huge numbers but someone is always on.

Negative. We have just over 30 members, and everyone has played within the last 30 days, with all but a few active within the last week.

4 Repliesliterally non existent, really don't have the heart to start all over again for the umpteenth time the "clan" goes belly up would settle for one or two besties to meet up regularly weekly

Sad but expected when the game drops 90% of its playerbase since final shapes launch, a lot of veteran players quit after the light and darkness saga ended and with no new player support there not being replaced. Really tough time to be in when running a clan, for everyone

Yes, same boat… clans used to be a bunch of people who would play together if/when we all get online at the same time… now you’re obligated to join the discord, and recieve alerts on your phone, so that you can see the pics people post about their personal lives, and then get scolded for “not being active” if you dont respond/ like/ comment on said posts… all to log on & then get stuck playing with people who are listening/singing along to discord music and/or having side conversations with other clan members who are not even on the fireteam. I’ve been seriously thinking of starting a clan for people who dont wanna use discord, or link thier personal lives to giant trans-continental gaming groups in multiple timezones.

I think the basic expectation of people wanting to join clans does need to change though. We have 1k members in our discord and still getting push back and looked at as a Mega community sorta thing - yet barley any of those are online together at the same. The reality is - if you want a better chance of people being online and wanting to do the same activity as you - More members is best bet. However we can see there are discords that are 3 X The size of ours however and their VC's are DEAD. If you are looking for a chill group to play with though your always welcome to use our discord to find a team!. Our community is small(by our choice) and a great group of new friends. We do all endgame content so I would say we’re not in the same boat.
