Played D1? You might remember the crucible quartermaster and the bounties. Weekly bounties that required particular weapon kills and would reward that weapon type in return but from anywhere and anytime in the game. Do a hand cannon bounty, maybe you'll get a trials hc etc.
I don't know about you, but those bounties kept me playing for a long time.
Then there were the gunsmith weekly orders, another weekly item we looked forward to every reset. I miss that era of the franchise

I really think bungie forgot how much of a driving force bounties and quests with good rewards could be. I had a buddy that hated playing crucible but played the hell out of it to get lunas howl back in the day. Or how we used to chase bounties for guns back in D1. Or how we would farm a ton of repeatable bounties for bright dust to buy some store stuff

1 ReplyBring back gunsmith weapon orders

1 ReplyThink they wisely realized you probably shouldn't be getting Trials gear from a random curcible bounty, but if they wanted to do it for world drops/crucible drops, that would make sense.

1 ReplyPVP engagement is gone; like PVE engagement is gone. Bungie does not know how to do this, haven't for a while now. They are too stuck in the clubs, social agenda's and making the game hard enough for streamers to worry about if players are having fun and engaging with the limited content.

2 RepliesWith the exception of Transmog, I haven’t done bounties in this game for 7 years. Pathfinder is already a much more effective system.

Yes I liked those bounties, I still do them in D1 now even though I don't need the weapon. I would like to have those bounties in D2 for Crucible,Gambit and Vanguard Ops.

I feel like Bungie has to earn the communities trust again before it ever goes back to being an “engaging” pvp.

Or remove SBMM from quick play… that would be a start. No one wants to sweat it out for a riptide.
