Let's face it this would bring people back to the grind.
Technically, silver IS earnable...you just have to turn off the game and go to work. I don't think the player population is ever going to bounce back. People are just tired of not having their time respected.

1 ReplyThis is an insane ask. Do you know how much blood, sweat, and tears Bungie employees shed mining and refining each piece of Silver they pull from the earth? You act like these things are just numbers that can be changed automatically!
-
Maybe like 1000 a season on the free track of the season pass.
-
Get a job and you can earn silver. Bright dust being earnable through activities would make more sense. You make silver farmable the afk macro users will be in full force moving just enough and shooting in strikes, pvp etc so they don't get kicked.
-
Congratulations, you identified a large number of previously undiagnosed heart conditions at Bungie HQ. If the medications work it will be buisiness as usual next week.

Unfortunately it wouldn't do a damned thing - most of us spend every day working for people who don't respect our time in order to earn real currency, so we're not going to do it for peanuts in our downtime...
-
Miss the days of Silver being included with DLC purchases...

7 RepliesIt is earnable. Get a job and pay for it.

That's why they have brightdust Trading or giving a low light level blueberry a weapon from your collection so their road ahead becomes easier should be a thing 🤷♂️

Bright dust and engrams exist as a free, grind only option to earn random cosmetics. Silver is just to guarantee a cosmetic drop you want. It would make people farm more, but it would also mean bungie needs another way to make money, and the only other option than content/skins is p2w as silver becomes a far more important currency to earn. This is also why I don't want trading because it would 100% be just as bad as wow gold trading. Helldivers 2 has this issue for me where people say It's okay for them to screw me with arbitrary timers because I can just farm 5x longer to get the same thing instead of paying money. I don't get it.

Become a content creator = money = silver.

15 RepliesHonestly strikes should reward like 2 silver coins each time. Or nightfalls could reward 4 each time. This way it’s not giving it away and you don’t have to waste hard earned money on something dumb.

What Bright Dust is for, which is earnable in-game , and most things are eventually available for Infact I can afford to spend real money on digital currency, but I don't because I know I can eventually get it for free with Bright Dust and would be a waste of money But player trading would be great -
I'd grind soooo hard if this was possible.
-
Now that would be true heresy
-
Get a job mate, then chuck some money around.
-
1 ReplyYea trading would be great like a marketplace where you can sell your god roll weapon for Bright Dust.. Selling for silver would be too much tho, game devs need money as well..
-
Just make everything available for brightdust aswel as silver on the weekends
-
2 RepliesBut it would stop them earning tens of millions, so not likely

Pete Parsons: *spits their drink all over the monitor* “you’re kidding right?”

Eververse bounties were good, though if they won't bring those back they should at LEAST have a conversion for bright dust to silver for the cosmetics that aren't in rotation that week. You wanna buy the ace of spades nerf skin, don't have any bright dust? Just convert the 2k dust into 700 silver or something
-
lol, yeah if a free to play game was 100% free that would be amazing.
-
The best thing is to go back to when items were rewarded for completing certain events. Buying what should be an in game reward isn’t the same feeling. We all know greed won’t allow it.

8 RepliesEvery 10th flawless raid should reward you with 1 Silver. I think that sounds fair.
