Kell’s Vengeance difficulty is just dumb

I’m down for a challenge in PvE, I’ve gilded my conqueror 11 times. But Kell’s Fall … I just attempted it with two lfg groups. No thanks. Literally done. It’s not even hard or frustrating. It’s just dumb. I fall into this room, enemies spawn everywhere, stun-lock or freeze you and then kill you. How fun. I don’t know who this game is for at this point but apparently it’s not me. And it’s not the guys I teamed up with either. The people at B are such a joke. What on earth are you doing? Whose advice is this based on? Hope your 20 remaining players buy lots of sht from Eververse bc the rest ain’t coming back.

    It’s not that bad bud, I ran it a bunch of times last night for the emblem and we had it down to 20-25 minute runs. First room- use a sword and a devour build for the bonus objective. I used Falling Guillotine because of the void surge with Mask of the Quiet One on my Titan and slashed through everything. Second room- DO NOT THROW 3 BOMBS DURING THE FIRST DROP. The 3rd generator being destroyed starts the objective timer, instead throw two and throw the 3rd bomb at the wall. When the next bomb carrier spawns in throw the three bombs and the timer will start and you will have plenty of time to nuke everything. Boss room- easiest room by far. Avoid the scorn grenades as they hurt. Avoid Skolas as he usually one hits you if you’re too close. During damage use bubble and swords with x2/3 surge mods equipped and go to town. Easy 1 phase this way. Hope this helps!

    • You obviously never played Skolas in House of Wolves. Players told bungie if they bring back skolas, dont make it a cake walk. I think its even easier in D2 than D1. Skill. ISSUE!

      • 0 way you are saying this is harder than some of the GMs have been over the years. Legit not on the Level of Liminality this season even or expert onslaught. Has CPs, no auto wipe etc. I only say that because if you are 11x Conq there is simply no way you don’t have the basis for comparison

              • Kells Vengeance isn't that hard. Maybe like an easier GM (not vile with brawn, that's a joke). You don't get sent to orbit, so its kinda chill. Kinda fun, but hardly any replay value

                Bungie: *Only caters exclusively to the most toxic -blam!- in their community who are only happy if no one else is.* Look. You know, they tried catering to the players who want everything to be hard and unpleasant. They ended ability spam by and large, everything is way more bullet spongey, nothing is any more rewarding than it was before. And look where they are, all interest sliding off the game like water off a duck's -blam!-. Because the game isn't fun to play anymore. Things don't have to be ridiculously easy, but stop trying to push the narrative that people want this. A small number of very loud people want this, everyone else is sick of it and the numbers show it.

                • I absolutely agree. I've done almost every raid with with my clan and done every dungeon even though I've done the newest dungeon once. I have never felt like I was going to die that easily in the raids or dungeons. I can do gm nightfalls and not really struggle. I go into the mission once and I cannot survive longer than minute. It's not hard the enemies are overwhelmingly ridiculous. You get swamped I have hady well healing grenades and healing rift and it's still not enough even with a pretty good load out. Bungie wants people to play this but the casual player will not be able to finish this mission because they made it master and I have no idea why. It's harder than the exotic quest on expert. All this for a chance at a crappy looking ship and a nice emblem. I've attempted this mission twice and that's all that they are getting out of me because I will not give Bungie the gratitude of taking the last bit of my patience I have for them. If this next episode does not bring back the red borders and improve on the story I won't even give frontiers the benefit of the doubt because I've had about enough of their incompetence. Crazy you can clear every raid and get an emblem even the dungeons give emblems but the one for kells revenge is a chance.

                • Ita just a 🗑 company. Seriously they couldn't give us the emblem off a simple clear?!?! 5 clears...still no emblem. Even raids and dungeons gave you a guaranteed emblem off your first completion. But skolas? Somebody we beat so many times? They said they buffed the drop rate? And? It's a freakin emblem. Guarantee it.

                • Agreed, I'm all for challenges and wotnot, I used to solo nightfalls before it was cool 😆, but all this false difficulty is getting old... the repeated slow, burn, tracking snipes behind cover, and annoying enemies is getting old... it's not even difficult, it's just frustrating sometimes. Don't get me started on annoying mechanics and brain-dead modifiers.

                  The key to a great game is to make the content challenging but in such a way as to keep players gripped into playing until they achieve their goal, and that goal is rewarding. There is no one left at Bungie to create such content, and instead we get gameplay that is so frustrating that people will not carry on, or they just don't bother at all. I myself, haven't even bothered logging in to the new chapter, just because of what I've seen in videos on the new content. I haven't seen or read anything anywhere yet that makes me want to play.

                      • Streamer summits. Their entire dev team (2 devs) that is left working on the game entirely focuses all their effort into satisfying the 4 full time streamers who are left streaming this game for 12 viewers each.

                            • Put together a strategy, and you'll have a better experience. My team went from your experience to a 15 minute 1 phase. (In which we got Guitar'd after the kill) Throwing your hands in the air after 1 attempt isn't the answer. It's hard to believe that's your attitude with 11x conqueror.

                                  • Hum the ennemy density is kinda low tough. We did it duo with a friend as we expected it to be as easy as the rest of the season. And basically ennemy spawns are really predictable. Graviton lance takes care of all smalll ennemies. And my titan Friend took care of the few beefy ennemies. After dunking a mote, expect a huge wave from the middle and use your heavy\abilities\super to spawnkill them before they split. Basically have one guy dedicated on small ennemies and one on elites. During dps i was standing on the plateform top left. Took a lmg. And destroyed all of the "red souls" by myself as my friend was doing dps for a very long time. When the ennemies spawned around him i just used my tether and voila. Easy two phase. Add one player and you can easily one phase this if 2 players are doing dps and another takes care of the souls\ ennemies. Dont give up because you had some bad lfg runs it is not THAT hard Its basically GM level, and if you gilded your conqueror seal that much time you can do it !

                                  • Nah. It’s definitely you. Probably a S.I. of some sorts. We did it in 30 minutes last night. GMs are much more difficult than this cakewalk of a mission.
