Interestingly, he made a post on this site in 2023 stating he had been banned from posting in LFG for soliciting money for raid carries. In his post he asked to be allowed to post in LFG because he had never solicited any money and just really wanted to help people and teach people the raid for the love of the game =D The only response he received was from a mod stating they do not discuss moderation action in public. Needless to say, I think Bungie did well to ban him at that time and they really should ban him again from making any more posts on Fireteam Finder.[/quote] I don't think this happened whatsoever. Calling BS. And in the unlikely chance this did happen, there are block and mute options for anyone you don't want to play with or talk to. Making a forum post and playing the victim accomplishes nothing.

That is why some players - myself included - choose to not partake in activities that require mics. At the end of the day my enjoyment of the game is more important to me than RNG loot.

I think I know exactly who you’re talking about. His posts usually say “Teaching, Experienced, Fresh Clear, Final checkpoint” … completely contradictory tags… I joined in the middle of him verbally abusing a guy who he had raid-reported, calling him trash & a loser & worse… I said “hey, just kick the guy if he doesnt have experience & lets move on”. Little did I know, he actually extorts money from people for clears/carries. Three other people stood by, ignoring the abuse cuz they already agreed to pay up. He started to yell at me, saying he was checking my raid report too. He must’ve saw my 100+ clears of the raid cuz he immediately booted me, realizing he’d get no cash from me. I didnt know that you couldnt post someone’s name, even if they’re abusive, soliciting etc… I can say this: everyone should avoid the 6-digit name that begins & ends with an ‘x’.

As a sherpa myself, allow me to apologize for this disgusting interaction you dealt with and outline that not all sherpas are represented in such appalling ways. I hope you have it right back to him two fold, I know I would have. This makes me laugh because if in fact this is true, I'd love to meet this person and see exactly what they'd have to say irl fact to face. I can almost guarantee it'd be a completely different story, if they'd even show up.

I had something similar happen to me and my son recently, after a simple game of Mayhem. Bungie doesn't care. I tried to go through the process of reporting and it felt like a job application. To an actual moderator. Gave me so much of a run around I just said forget it. Better to just block and move on. Sorry it happened to you.
