Kell’s Fall Exotic Mission (some positive feedback)
I know this post will get downvoted into oblivion or eye-rolled away but the new exotic quest and shotgun are pretty awesome! I loved the giant organ (that was a nice touch) and the mission was not too difficult to figure out in a fireteam. The Slayer’s Fang is both beautiful and powerful and I love it!
I completed all of the intrinsics and catalysts last night. The intrinsics were easy but completing the catalysts was a nightmare since I ran the mission solo in order to break the anchors without interference. I absolutely hated how fragile I was, even with 100 Resilience and the proper resist mods. I’m stubborn and a veteran of this game so I got it done but this part will break many guardians!

3 RepliesOrgan? Yes Slayer's Fang? Yes But needing to complete the mission on expert for the catalysts? -blam!- no. I've never felt more squishy in my entire life. Each time I made some progress in a boss battle I died and had to do it all over again and again and again and again. I eventually just quit and I'll get the catalysts another time when I force myself to play with other people.

The main mechanic was a dumbed down version of the ascendant plane/duality dungeon mechanic. The organ was the only cool part. Should have had more of it in the mission.

I wouldn't downvote you. Kells fall had a nice aesthetic... Of cobbled together reused assets. HOWEVER, if you went to the area to the right side of the organ first... Found the glowy code before the braiser on the left... Heard whirring sounds deep within fortress.... Poor design choice from the get-go!

3 RepliesWill the mission to get Slayer's Fang and all the intrinsics's/catalyst's still be available after Revenant ends? I'm a returning player, just finished lightfall and getting into Final Shape. I kinda don't want to jump ahead too much

4 RepliesI agree with you. It took an hour or so to complete it on regular mode but didn't get far in expert mode. I don't feel too bad as the only catalyst I'm interested in is cascade point. Base version of the SF is a beast. I got 700 kills yesterday. However, I'm not going to be surprised if bungie says it's way overpowered and nerfs the crud out of it to be like the other exotic shotguns. Question for you, do you have to be in expert mode to get the intrinsics?
