Rising ice challenge
This had to be one of the dumbest challenges because it's totally RNG based.
There are maybe 4 strikes with scorn and a 1 in 6 chance for them in gambit. There is no way to target doing it, you cant even just go to a strike with lots of scorn.
Such a waste

This has been a common theme the last few seasons and I'd guess next season we'll probably have to kill hive with fire or void. It wouldn't be bad of they at least lined it up with a nightfall that had the matching enemy type.

Play the nightfall. It doesn't have to be on the highest setting. Just do the normal, match made one.

Edited by cryptic_king_241: 1/2/2025 3:43:28 PMI did the 9 playlist activity weekly in strikes, got it done on my 6th. Maybe they gave scorn strikes a boosted chance? Maybe they did what most players won't do and played into the moment (oscillation in gms).

This is why I don't gild Conquerer. I load into Birthplace GM by myself, go to the Quagmire area, and get all my kills there. It's long and tedious, but it gets the job done.

3 RepliesEdited by Zuni: 1/1/2025 4:25:40 PMIf you’re on psn just change the date in your settings to 2034 or something. You can now solo queue strikes. Keep loading them until you get Birthplace or Corrupted and you’ll get it done in 20 mins or so.

4 RepliesBirthplace was in the nightfall rotation during the challenge so you had plenty of opportunity to complete.

6 RepliesThe Corrupted should be the NF next week, so just wait to do this challenge as well as the next one (Dark Shadows - Void kills) and save yourself the frustration of trying to load into a strike or getting Scorn in Gambit.

1 ReplyIt doesn’t say playlist I don’t think, so you should be able to load up the birthplace strike and knock it out. I haven’t tested this out myself yet though so I could be wrong.
