A disappointingly significant portion of whatever pvp population is left plays quickplay modes like it's game 7 on a flawless trials card. There needs to be an incentive to:
1. Attract new players to pvp.
2. Make the sweats CHILL THE F OUT so the newcomers don't leave immediately and never return.

1 ReplyI propose a new rating called Girth. You gain Girth by using the least-used weapons, armor, and subclasses. They have all this data so they can automatically assign Girth based on your loadout. Using a Hunter w/ Hand Cannon and Shotty would grant you negative Girth, for example. Using a bubble titan with all blues would be massive Girth awardance. When you max out Girth you get a special exotic something.

It's a choice they all make because they hate the game and don't actually have fun unless they're winning.

7 RepliesIt's a competition; it doesn't matter if it's Quickplay, Trials, Iron Banner, or funny enough, Competitive. Regardless of what you call it, people are playing to win.

Sometimes players are inadvertently forced to go hard. Matchmaking can put you in situations where it's either try harder or lose horribly.

The people who you think are sweating are probably just vibing.

CBMM is the only way. SBMM makes everyone sweaty.

No crucible player is going to use a loadout that’s objectively harder to use when there opponents will use the “meta” because it’s easier 🤷♂️

some people are just competitive anyways.... Some want to win all the time, you can't take that away from some people.

1 ReplyActually game 7 of a flawless Trials card is meaningless, because it's connection based, so someone 6-0 could be facing someone with no wins on there card
