Out of seven grenade launchers 3 had desperate measures and 4 had adrenaline junkie. In the last column. In the colum beside it I got 3 threat detectors and two envious assassins 1 heal clip and 1 field prep. This is just a single time. I've had many other focusing tries on other weopons with similar results as far as some perks being hugely over represented

Edited by Guardian1309: 12/14/2024 5:56:58 PMRNG is rarely, in games, just RNG where in you use a system, and is the worst alg, generator then seed it off the system clock and then pretend that's random (its not its ALWAYS 100% reproducible) but that's not the issue. Most always there is a weighting that's added in that skews the outcome of the generator to one end of the spread or the other. Thus you can skew it so one outcome is vastly more likely to occur or in the other direction and making it dang near impossible for a particular outcome to occur. Thus waitgate is totally spelled wrong and should be weightgate!!! Thus in Destiny is rarely ever RNG but actually RNGH (really never gonna happen!!!)

Yeah I definitely agree something still feels wrong with the RNG. And TBH I would not trust a word Bungie says even if they came out and said there is nothing wrong after weight gate.

1 ReplyEdited by Rickp3131: 12/14/2024 9:54:27 PMI just made a similar post that it seems like weapon drops far more with a few undesirable perks. In other words, it's not random. I've spent weeks farming wicked sister with envious arsonal/bait and switch, finally getting it last night. It's comical how many dropped with field prep/high court. I'd swear bungie is tracking how fast I delete weapons and those perks just to always give me the most common ones. Ive been playing a lot of nightfalls and focused at least 200 and of those only one with ea/bas? statistically impossible it's random.

2 RepliesEdited by DoNotResusitate: 12/14/2024 3:35:31 AMObviously we need more data but from what I've seen I've got serious doubts about its randomness. Bungie also has a long history of claiming they fixed something and the fix failing to work correctly.

Bungie RNG still remains as it always has for its decade plus existence, pseudo randomized. As much as all of us hate it. The claims for RNG fixes happens around one every two years. This one at least included some convincing data. The source of data was controlled. So not influenced by normal gameplay and previous fixes. Hard to test otherwise but flawed nonetheless.

2 RepliesOver 50 warden laws focused so over 150 vanguard engrams an non with vorpal /4th times the charm so bungie either removed the roll or rng is still broken and made to waste player time

33 better devils tonight at Shaxx. 2 with slice, 1 with zen moment. 0 with slice/zen moment. And that’s with many of them rolling with 2 to 3 perks per column.
