Dawning quest entirely reset, and returned to quest inventory
Is this happening to anyone else?
Yesterday I had fully completed both the dawning quest and memento quest. Today I hop on to find my dawning quest has returned to my quest inventory and reverted to step 1.
I can't earn any dawning essence or cookie materials to complete step 1 of the quest. Holiday oven only has gjallardoodles recipe.
I only need 1 more challenge to complete the event card and it's to make cookies.

It sounds like you're unfortunately being affected by a progression-blocking/resetting issue with the Dawning introductory quest: [quote]We're currently investigating an issue where some players can become "stuck" during the introductory Dawning questline when being asked to bake cookies for Zavala. 2 RepliesI experienced the exact same problem. When I logged in and tried to grab Dawning bounties on each character I saw that the quest on all 3 had reset to the first step. I immediately logged back out. I’ve hit my limit with the constant bugs in this game.

Yup same here, Ethercane won't drop either which is super unfun and makes it really hard to do anything

My entire Dawning event reset with the 12-12 daily reset. Back to square one. I shut the game off.

Same. Changed characters and lost all progress and now is bugged.

1 ReplySame here. Makes me so sad and mad cause that totally ruins the mood of the event and my sympathy for the game is melting away. Hopefully Bungie will fix this and restore everything.

3 RepliesSame. Completed both quests, acquired everything from Eva and racked up A TON of ingredients, dawning spirit and dawning essence to do the repeatable bounties. Swapped to another character to grab a CP without even seeing Eva and it wiped everything I'd collected and reset my main character to the redoing the quests. Yet Bungie's useless response is, "the workaround is another character" LOL

Edited by TheDoctha: 12/12/2024 9:29:22 PMyep, just logged in and i'm back to collecting the initial quest from Eva edit: in my case, i already had all the materials to bake the cookie for Zavala but some dawning essence that i went and got from a lost sector. After baking the cookie, i gave it to Zavala and got all of the materials i farmed previous to the bug back. I noticed, as i was killing ads in the lost sector, that materials were still dropping for me, which is also probably why i managed to bake Zavala's cookie in the first place. Hopefully it was a one-time issue and i got lucky, for once.

1 Replyhappened to me too, what I did before was collectet the new shader for the snowball kills, and I changed to another character. dunno if any of those are connected to this happening.

1 ReplyThis is also happening to me. I was on step 3 or 4 of the quest, had all recipes available, had 4 of the 12 upgrades. I only started the Dawning on 1 character. Switched characters briefly with out going to tower or interacting with Eva, and when I switched back, I got a message to go visit Eva. Walk up to talk to her, and she's giving me the quest to start all over again... My event card still shows the original progress, and i looks like the ingredients saved, and oven is still master worked, but quest is at step 1 and only 1 recipe is available. None of the ingredients are viewable, I can only see the 3 ingredients in the 1 recipe I have but there are multiples of those.
