Thousands got the event card for free, but not you.
Bungie makes an error and is now depriving the community of this event card which was given to thousands of people for free. Yes, it was bugged, but that was their error. This card should be made free for everyone.
What you do for one you do for all, bungie. Just because you have some half baked updates and can’t actually put forward even an update without having bugs, does not mean you screw the community over.
You messed up. Own it. Allow this card to be the Christmas gift to your community who continues to put up with your antics still.

Bungie has confirmed they ARE allowing thousands to keep the event card and are not going to allow this event card to be given to everyone. Essentially, they are screwing you for a quick buck.

Thanks to some others, it is now known that Bungie is OVERCHARGING for bundles in game and it is cheaper to buy items individually (check prices for all items). This is ridiculous. They are knowing overcharging for bundles to make a quick buck off those who want all the items for what would usually be the same combined price (sometimes cheaper).
Flat out, this is the worst event ever done, and is a clear example of the community being extorted.

For those who did, enjoy the gift wrapped sparrow haha. For those few that got the pass free and the people who are upset, Merry Christmas you filthy animals.

Same stuff for 7 years and they want to charge for it on top of making like 70% of eververse event items silver only. If they want to do event cards, don’t be lazy and actually do something with the events each year instead of the same old baking cookies, bonfires etc

The people who got it free are the ones who could afford to buy it. Those who couldn't spare real money at this time of year got zilch. Poor struggling Bungle can't afford to give it to everyone. Not like they're some big-time corporation.

Well it's partially because you use EVERYTHING in your power to get every single -blam!- penny from your players and DO NOTHING to earn good will from your players. You will make sure there's plenty of new crap in the eververse every season, meanwhile vendors go YEARS without refreshes and you create some of the ugliest or mediocre armor in your seasonal content while making sure the best looking stuff is paid for or locked behind expensive content purchases.

Bungie can't help themselves, they have an opportunity to throw their playerbase (what's left of it) a Christmas bone. Instead they choose to reward those who could be around at the starting gun and Grinch out on the majority. I really have no personal grounds to complain as beyond paying for season passes I have spent nothing and still have the 1k silver gifted when migrating from D1. So I wouldn't have been buying a card upgrade anyway but when I feel something is wrong I'll flag it.
