So, If we have 99 Strange Coins.....
And Xur isn't here to spend them on throughout the week...why?
Even if we spend all 99 when he's here, and we continue to play and earn anything after 99...they're wasted?
Who seriously thought this was a good idea? Why not increase this? To use this as a ploy to keep players grinding just feels....dirty.

I'm thinkin these are the reasons that it was designed this way (but I'm not expecting understanding from you, lol) 1. caps set a limit on the wealth gap (between players that have time or like the playlists.. vs those that do not) 2. it focuses some population in the playlists on the weekend.. you feel some extra bonus rewards for your time then... vs having it around always it becomes just another thing 3. you need to accept the fact that the rules/boundaries/limits are part of what gives the game value.. and gives you possible direction to go as a player -
Spend all your coins on Monday or Tuesday before weekly reset (depending on your work schedule). By Friday you will be full again. If you have bought everything from Xur you want for the week, spend your extra coins on the Strange Weapon and Strange Armor Engrams. Then dismantle that gear and weapons that aren't any good for Glimmer and some enhancement cores. Spending the Coins increases your Reputation, giving you those rank rewards. Which then gets you Strange Engrams, for more Glimmer and Cores and you can get Red Border weapons. Also, you can buy one Exotic engram from Xur per week. Take to Rahool, decrypt as is for Rahool reputation. You also get reputation with Banshee for dismantling. It's a little extra work, but it's "free" Glimmer, Cores and reputation for Rank Rewards. I spend every coin I can and reset my rank almost once a weekend with Xur. It's worth it.

Once you get to 99 strange coins you’ve reached your Destiny (2) for the week and are expected to stop playing until Xur arrives. -
1 ReplyXur is here 4 out of the seven days of the week. So not sure what anyone is missing out of the 3 days he is gone. I do agree with “why” be gone at all though. But everything has its reason… and bungie thinks it pushes engagement….
