D2 has really evolved into a pulse rifle dominant meta. I know many love pulses but they feel so far off from other weapons being able to compete. Maybe I’m off here in my observation but it seems valid that they’re far too much for most other primaries to deal with. Thoughts?

2 RepliesActually I don’t mind actually dying to any gun. It’s all the abilities that are nuts

1 Reply390s are fine. Just because everyone and their mother is using Bygones doesn't mean they're overtuned. If 340s were really that strong you could use any of them and win. But you can't. Because it's only certain ones.

1 ReplyEdited by Mstuff: 12/1/2024 9:36:07 PMWhy not join the fun vs complaining and go focus an Elsie’s at Zavala and run some Onslaughts for a nice pvp roll? In addition, I get killed by more scouts and autos vs pulses.

Nope they're fine it's only Graviton Lance✌️

4 RepliesThey are the strongest primaries right now but compared to when things like autos or hand cannons are in the same position the complaints seem pretty tame. Other things could always come up to compete but the thing about pulses is they kind of fall in the center of the weapon spectrum when it comes to single shot vs. "spray" pattern shooting and there does seem to be an element of balance that the game doesn't have to be as responsible for when it's like this. I could be wrong because I don't exactly how things get balanced but if you compare it to when any other primary is in the dominant position this seems better. That could also be bias on my part because they're my main primary. But just go down the list. Smgs were really strong for a while and it turned rumble into an SMG only mode. Autos can get pretty close to what pulses are doing across the skill spectrum but higher tier players would prefer hand cannons and it's just the opposite when hand cannons are dominant. Tldr, this doesn't seem too bad and things can always come up individually to where pulses are. Also 340 s seem to annoy a lot of people but they also might be making things better than they would otherwise be in a way.

It's good that all varieties are relevant to some degree, but they are collectively far too common. They account for a great deal of kills and people using them. The game has slowed down because the majority of people are lane camping from their initial spawn. They are just too good for how easy they are to use.

1 ReplyNot so much 390s in general. More so high ground. That’s the only 390 that people use.

1 ReplyI agree. I’d like them reigned in a bit.
