Lightning Surge needs a massive PvE damage buff.
It makes no sense being in the pathetic state that it's been in for months. It's not just lightning surge either. Most warlock abilities hit like wet noodles in the face of hunter and titan abilities, and these bullet sponge adds/bosses.

Yeah, Stormcaller in general is barely even a real subclass at this point. It's basically just "Arc Soul, the Subclass", because that's the only part of the kit Bungie seems to care about, when they occasionally toss a buff or two to the weakest subclass in the game. :(

That's the majority of locks abilities in a nutshell. Feels like it's biased when 2/3 of the classes have high access uptime to radiant because the way the mechanics of the game work. Lightning surge definitely needs a buff. The biggest problem on warlock is burst damage, or you have to "waste" a considerable amount of abilities to "match" that of the other classes it's ridiculous.

2 RepliesThe big difference between it and consecration is the fact there's no exotic though for now lets look at a way to buff it without just copy and pasting synthoceps. At a base make it so it gets 8% energy back per a kill Next make it so enemies killed drop an ionic trace And lastly a 10% buff in damage.

6 RepliesI wouldn't mind if it had blind built in to mitigate the risk vs reward but that would also be a absolute plague in pvp. But it also requires less skill to use than consecration so I don't mind that it's not the same powerhouse.

It’s weak AF and getting it every minute doesn’t make it usable. I put the Crown of Tempest build together and was disappointed with how weak it is.

10 RepliesI mean I’ve never tried using it on stormcaller but specifically on prismatic you can use it with arcane needle and it’s good for clearing rooms with lots of red bars. I’ve used it with necrotic grips and it feels alright only cause you can get three charges of it. (It’s literally a warlock version of consecration spam) On stormcaller I could definitely see it needing a bit of a buff since you only get one charge of it without claws of ahamkara but at that point why not use those for double chain lightning?
