After the addition of the new mods the difference between adepts and regular crafatble gear is little to nothing.
I would say giving adepts something useful like a second mod slot would make them feel special and worth the grind again. Currently, they're more of a flex than anything else which is not ok! They should be better than regular loot by at least 15% which an extra modslot would do that. 🤷 💯

The new tiered weapon enhancement changes. Some of it might be retroactive... but a lot of gear will be antiquated after gaining the ability to enhance every perk column AND origin traits. So, I don't know what is really worth grinding for right now. Including Adepts. It would be nice if we got some information about the enhancement changes and if ANY current weapons will be retroactively integrated into the system. I'm also annoyed that they made the new stasis glaive week 9 in the rotation. I love this week's Nightfall... it would have been a great week for it, imo.

I disagree,once master worked they get overall better stats and you also get adept mods,not only that! They also get enhanced perks the same way any other new weapon does. Definitely worth it.

Half of the time its “Adepts are actually not much better and are used for a flex, so making adepts more available devalues the flex.” But now its “Adepts are just a flex now! They need to be better!!!” even though endgame content has become more harder and less and less accessible to the casual player. Adepts are fine. And that’s coming from someone with a god roll Adept Messenger and a 4/5 Adepts Iggy.

My adept insidious is marginally better then the crafted that I have with the same perks. A total of 6 stat points higher. The adept mods also are a slight advantage depending on which mod you want to use. The new mods are better in a lot of cases. Luckily, they already have a solution, which is the tiered loot system coming in Apollo.

Adepts are a ”flex”, even in former system they offered very little extra benefit. Now even less for most cases.

Have they ever really been "worth it"? I think they're more bragging rights than any actual noticeable difference to regular weapons. Of course Bungo gunna nerf them, cos everyone needs to feel special.

3 RepliesThis may be a bit of a… take but I never liked the idea of adept weapons or quite a few types of weapons I.e trials weapons But back on topic, I never understood the idea of why people wanted adept weapons since back in d1 adepts were not really any different to their counterparts apart from the fact they had an element which honestly sounds better then what we have now But now they are the idea of just “my gun is SLIGHTLY better then yours”

1 ReplyI was actually thinking this once they added the ability to enhance any weapon, since enhanced weapons gain the same +2 to all stats as adept weapons which meant adept mods were the only difference, but the new mods are almost better. I think bungie should buff adept mods so stat mods now give +15 instead of +10. Granted it's all more or less pointless since bungie has reduced the effect of stats on weapons over the years.

2 RepliesThey’re likely going to be worth a lot more in Frontiers. With the tiering system, I’d be willing to bet they’ll be guaranteed to be the highest tier or two. I think buffing Adept range, stability, handling, and reload to 15 sounds great :)
