Tonic Brewing Guide bugged - Cannot "Gather ingredients"
I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be fixed based on the wording in today's patch notes. I am still unable to progress past step 1 of 4 on the Tonic Brewing Guide. Hitting the gather ingredients button still does nothing, as it has since the start of the season.

I have found a solution to the bug. On a second character you must get to the stage of the Tonic Brewing Guide quest that you are stuck on. It seems like it is a rotating "quest" which is why we cannot abandon it. I had been pulling my hair out for weeks and finally found a solution for myself, so I hope it helps others! If you are stuck on the "Gather Ingredients", for me, when I completed that step on another character it pushed me through to the next step. However, I then became stuck on "Taste Test" on my main character. After messing around and looking on reddit, I found that you need to coordinate the steps of the quest between the two characters. Meaning, if you are stuck on "Taste Test" or "Imbue with Light", then get your second character up to that step, and then switch. On your main character it should allow you to complete your step and move on! Same issue on PC, Thought id come back after a few months but returning to this junk puts a foul taste in my mouth for quality. Guess ill go play something else. Thanks Sony/Bungie

so bungie you can hot fix supers going up quick in a day but again no patch for main story im quitting and i understand why your game is failing and no one wants to play your piece of -blam!- buggy game

Same issue on PS5. when E2A1 started the quest went to the post master, however it automatically gave the quest when i cleared up some quest space. So tonics were working, till i took the original quest from post master. Now it tells me to gather ingredients, however nothing happens when i do.

Act ii started today and i thought the issue would've been fixed but its not, I've lost ingredients to well over 40 potions and cannot do field work because i haven't discovered any more potions can't discover nore if i cant use the ones i already have please fix this

again we are in 2nd act and you -blam!- it again you need to sort out your -blam!- buggy game everyone this happened to you need to do something about it to justify everything you -blam!- up on absolute don't give a -blam!- about the players this is main story and no interest to fix -blam!- useless

I'm the same. Still can't get past Step 1!!!! Whenever I try to "gather ingredients" nothing happens. BUNGIE, PLEASE FIX! I can't make any more tonics because of this so I'm missing out on half the content😭😭

I’m stuck on Step 2. Won’t let me craft the potion. Any fix? We are about to start Act 2.

Another reset day passed and still not working…. Not even a mention of it in the patch notes. This obviously isn’t as high on the priority list as it should be when you’re focused on switching around weapon perks…

Bungie you're taking the absolute mick it's the 4th week and you can't patch the gather ingredients bug but yet you can patch the ball duping in the new dungeon straight away? But people that want to progress in the game that we pay for can't be patched. you really need to sort it out

Same exact thing. I was all happy that I would finally be able to brew potions now and the "gather ingredients" step is still bugged. Please bungie, PLEASE fix it asap...

Same, this is so irritating. Literally can't move forward since launch. Xbox one.

1 ReplySame here, the quest has been glitched since the start and if it goes to your postbox, DO NOT pick it up. It will stay in your inventory, thus blocking you from progressing. The only work around is to go on another character and brew tonics.
