The new dungeon is disproportionally harder solo on Hunter then on any other class. Just like how Salvations Edge highlighted the shortcomings of Titan, Vesper's Host is doing the same for hunter. Hunter has NO survivability outside of kill triggers while the other two classes roam around easily during DPS using the multitude of things they can use to survive (well, healing turrets, devour, rift, barricade, sunspots, knockout, controlled demo, overshields, unbreakable... etc).
PLEASE do something about hunter survivability it's ridiculous. We aren't even the glass cannons anymore titans do more damage than us. We're just bad now.
I've already completed solo flawless I do not need help with loadouts. I am critiquing the class I'm not struggling with it

The comments on this post are blowing my mind, so I'm just letting you know there are other intelligent people out there. I agree with you, hunters are probably the weakest class in pve right now. You won't get any good discussion from the forums since the majority here hate hunters (they hate everything really). The main problem is not just that we need kill triggers for survivability, we need SUSTAINED kill triggers. Other classes don't really have that problem. Also, dps while invis isn't really helpful, but it was pretty funny seeing all the people who immediately went "muh invis"

6 RepliesThere's plenty of hunter exotics that can heal you. Liars handshake Assassins cowl Wormhusk There's other exotics that can grant you invisibility or other void benefits Gyrfalcons Omnioculus Graviton forfeit You have options. Use them.

Gonna have to agree to disagree, but can appreciate the post regardless.

Yeah, I've switched to Titan in PvE now. Braindead easy mode.

12 RepliesI, who is hacky solo player, managed to make a solar build that DID NOT rely on Red Death.. It is possible, you jus have to build into it. Outside of that, the arc punch/dodge set up is ez life. Outside of that, get an invis build. There's loads of options for Hunters to essentially become bullet proof. Jus takes some effort to work out the combat loop.

6 Replies3 of the titan things you listed are kill trigger required as well my friend, sunspots could be given with Lorely, but that’s sacrificing an exotic just for survivability. Barricades also only do so much, they may block shots from the clones/boss, but they don’t protect from the lightning strikes. Also hunters aren’t meant to be the “tanky” “healing” class anyways.

5 RepliesInvis.

4 RepliesEdited by FluffyDragonZ: 10/23/2024 1:01:23 AMVoid = invis, overshield from gyrfalcon Solar = healing grenade Arc = liars handshake, blind, arc dr exotic Stasis = frost armor, slow, shard healing Strand = woven mail, sever These are the hunter survivability mechanics I could think of off the top of my head. Edit forgot decoy.

Pretty much limited to invisible builds and DR perks or exotics.

They need to let us use Shadowshot!

Stacking heavily into Resilience helps alot in PVE, Mobility isn’t required as much in PVE.

5 Repliestrue, hunters with no builds and green guns have no survivability
-
3 RepliesHunter isn't suposed to be strong in that department but as it happens I do just fine with a hunter in the new dungeon

8 RepliesWormhusk Crown and Spirit of the Wormhusk are options for survivability on hunter. With max mobility you can dodge for health about every twenty seconds or whatever it drops to at that tier.

10 RepliesThe second an encounter isn't designed for Hunters. Suddenly imbalance is unfair.
