I have no idea what I'm doing. I even watched a guide and I still don't get it. I just randomly click on stuff. This is BY FAR the worst seasonal system I have ever played.
Although, I reckon I'm alone in this because I don't see anyone else complaining about it. Oh well.

Build 4 of each from right to left.
-
At this point I'm not even gonna bother with it, I'll play the story just to see where it goes, but the tonics seem like nothing more than pointless busywork (which is like 75% of the game nowadays).

there's a section (x4) that tell you what've you unlocked and haven't if you need to unlock say onslaught weapons, brew the blue ones, so select as many as you can until you get the "flashing" that you've unlocked a new one. select that brew all, rinse and repeat. when you've unlocked so many news ones, that will unlock the Minor missions to run. Unlocking the Minors unlocks the Majors, unlocking all minor & majors unlocks the last one. ** some onslaught weapons are not avail yet, so then move to onslaught armor, then world weapons, then world armor yada yada yada I run my 5 onslaughts for pinnacle, run my NF's and anything else then when I have an abundance of materials to go brewing for it can go quick ** dont spend your last of something (materials) for that's when you need it for a "flashing" new one to brew

I don’t think it’s that complicated. Poorly explained? I can agree.
-
If you read all the comments.. The team that flipped a coin when picking bad ideas for the game is making obvious comments 😂😂😂

4 RepliesCan't figure out how to progress the tasks and can't figure out how to get ingredients and don't care enough to waste my non gaming time doing research on how to play a new game mechanism.
-
1 ReplyI think it's a you problem. Do what 97.467% of other players have done to unlock them.......by just randomly pressing buttons 😂😂 Joking aside, it is stupid AND unnecessary....hence why they put it in 🤦♂️
-
3 RepliesI agree with you it's just bs poorly designed and implemented. Guess all the " Right ppl " got fired ehh
-
5 RepliesIf it makes you feel any better, once you DO figure it out you'll be bottlenecked lacking enriching flakes like everyone else that doesnt grind 50 wave onslaught:salvation 8 hours a day... So there's that to look forward to... Or not.
-
2 RepliesAgreed. It's a nonsensical, completely unexplained mess. Just like almost everything Bungie changes in this game.

Edited by Obi-Juan: 10/23/2024 4:58:40 AMThere are 3 rarities you need to worry about. Forget about the 4th exotic rarity. Green is where it starts. Pick a green one and click it until you notice you have the ability to make a blue one. If you don't have the resources available to do so, play some onslaught. Now keep making the blue one until you get the ability to make a purple one. Now stop that and go back to another green one and repeat the process I understand it can be confusing until you get to grips with it, but once you've done it, you'll realise it's not that complex.

1 ReplyNo. People complained about it the first week. They aren’t playing anymore lol. You’re not alone. Supposedly the employee who came up with the system got canned soooooo…
-
I brewed some tonic and Bungie magic changed me in a chicken?? Thnx Bungie
-
I wasted a ton of ingredients before I sussed it!
-
I don’t understand why there’s a whole sub-menu full of ingredients I’m constantly collecting, but I can’t use them in the potions I’ve unlocked. Someone told me I have to travel back to Earth every time and that seemed like nonsense. There must be an easier way? Right?

Edited by Itcus: 10/21/2024 11:09:57 PMBrah, you ain't alone, trust. If you're confused on the unlocking new tonics part, then just make more of the ones you've already unlocked to open up another new one. Usually takes about 4-5 before another new one will become available. It's a damn stupid system that isn't adequately explained anywhere along the way. And apart from it being convoluted it straight up don't work anyway. Complete waste of time, IMHO.

It feels like an unnecessary task in this type of game. Baking Cookies taken to another level, but with potions. Hard to imagine anyone playing this game was asking for this. And it was not at all simple at first. It gets better when you get the basic pattern figured out, but then you are likely finding that you are lacking certain ingredients to even craft tonics.
-
Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
Tonics are unnecessary busy work. No idea why anyone at Bungie thought this nonsense was something that should be added to D2. -
1 ReplyIt’s what we call keep them bussy… system.
-
Haven’t been to the cooking area since the intro.
-
Destiny is heading down the 🚽.
-
nope, it's not only you, I don't get it either, but I haven't watched any guides and I don't care the slightest about tonics (I didn't even know where they were up until a few days ago when I found them by accident in the inventory tab) :)

The system is super easy to understand, when you use them you get the stated buff for the stated time, and if you have the associated artifact perk unlocked you get a bonus for that during the alloted time as well.
-
3 Repliesthe only confusing part is how you unlock them, they just need to add a tip in game how to unlock them, tonic system should be expanded is a very good system
-
It was confusing at first but it became extremely obvious what to do after about 10 minutes. Buy a bunch of one tonic and it unlocks the next. Why are you guys so lazy that you need to look up guides for every single thing? Whatever happened to actually playing the game to figure stuff out?
-
Its much simpler than you all are making it 5 uncommon’s get you a rare recipe 4 rares get you a legendary Get major fieldwork 2 and spam and pray legendaries for random exotic ones. The link i posted is a guide that’ll make it easier to figure it out.
