Really Bungie... no explanation on crafting them or upgrading..TWID was a sad attempt at it also... Charts, diagrams, step by step process.... Nothing was given sad sad sad. This season was around the dungeon pretty much everything else was thrown in a bag that we dig out ourselves?!! 🤣 😆

Tonics are a bad addition, agreed. They represent an rpg mechanic that doesn't really fit with d2. It's to "complicated" for an shooter. And i really dislike the two tier build crafting with the seasonal artifact and tonics on top. It's two temporary layers i don't want to bother with to much. Especially as i don't like stasis

35 RepliesYep….was a dumb idea that adds play time artificially by adding more steps for material crafting.
-
15 RepliesThat's what this game has become. They want you to watch streamers on how to do stuff in game now. This company is cooked.

Think of this as how it would be in stuff like Warcraft, etc, make enough dupes of stuff and you can now make it's better version, cycle repeats Fun fact, sometimes, rarely when you tastetest one you turn into an animal for a few frames, i loved seeing that XD

2 RepliesI think the biggest problem is all the arrogant azzholes making smart azz remarks about people not understanding the tonic part of this season. STOP GOING OUT OF YOURS WAYS TO BE AZZHOLES TO OTHER GAMERS!!!!!WTF Bungie, you respond to some of the lamest B.S. in the game, but ignore these toxic responses....

13 RepliesSays I have to create 9. I don’t know how and damn sure not gonna go watch some streamer to figure it out. Convoluted mess. This ain’t no D&D 💩
-
2 RepliesI found it really intuitive, figured out the whole system in 10 minutes and I didn't need to watch/read a single guide.

In the universe of Destiny 2, only the truly elite, the top-tier Guardians, grasp the art of wielding tonics. For the uninitiated, these are mere consumables; for the cognoscenti, they're the keys to transcending the ordinary. Using tonics properly isn't just about enhancing your abilities; it's about rewriting your gameplay narrative. It's a skill, an art form, lost on those who can't see beyond the surface. If you're not using tonics to alter the fabric of your Destiny experience, you're not just playing the game—you're missing the game playing you.

It was explained, you just neglected to read that explanation. It was explained in the quest. Each tonic also explains what it does when you hover over it. Each resource also explains where to get it when you hover over it.

Today's Eido bounties are for Tonics we haven't even learned yet, and simply can't make

Absoeffinglutely Idea obviously purloined from a new-born infant

1 ReplyThe worst part is I have all these tonics that I won't ever use because why would I use them?
-
3 RepliesI’m sure they do this stuff so guides can be made…
-
Tonics belong in a seasonal event.
-
3 RepliesYeah I didn’t even find out that they had different rarities until just now. That’s how bad it is…
-
Its a super simple system and people on the forum had a knee jerk reaction to it when it's easy to do. Especially when the tonics apply to EVERYTHING you do in the game. You don't need to do seasonal activities to even get the seasonal gear anymore.
-
11 RepliesWhy are people complaining over such a simple system. Holy -blam!- experiment for once you make 6 of one to get another then 6 of that to get another its not rocket science.....
-
1 ReplyI just don't understand why I haven't seen a single Bane enemy.

Edited by Xx RogueMerc xX: 10/18/2024 4:10:44 PMClick green until blue appears. Click blue until purple appears. Hard concept. There are far more complicated things in this game. Come on now.

It's literally the starbake recipes. Enjoy something you haven't figured out yet. It's literally a "lite " D1 style community discovery. Lotta these screechers weren't around when outbreak was discovered by community effort and small but of dev help because even they thought it was hard. Instant gratuity fortfarts and call of duty online daycare have rotted your minds.

Edited by pieceofgosa: 10/18/2024 7:16:56 PMIt's not hard, you're just not very smart. Sorry but that's the reality.

after a while I figured it out with a lot of trial and error. Find the ones you don’t have blue from green and do four of those or five to get a blue one and do four of those to get a purple one. world armor, and some other things only have one green and blue for a whole bunch of purple. Just do those over and over again and it’ll give you what you don’t have.

6 RepliesSo you're the reason Pop-Tarts come with instructions. Heard.

Incorrect. At the Tonic table screen look in the top right I believe for the circle with an I inside. As with all vendors they should have these and give you the information needed.

Edited by TRON VADER: 10/18/2024 3:16:19 PMStep process is 5 greens give you a blue, 4 blues give you a purple. Look at names to determine what you still need. There is a means to the madness, took me all week to figure it out. Go from green on right to left blue one which create a purple one. Key point is the name of the tonic that identifies the armor or weapon, a green one has a corresponding blue and purple one

I’m pretty sure the intention was to make tonics and notice, as you make more of them, more rarities appear. I get that it wasn’t fully explained, but I will say it wasn’t that hard to figure out either. Tbh I personally prefer this over death by over explanation.
