I have been waiting for a reason to use this gun and now i do with it being a stasis season and anti barrier scouts! yet wicked implement doesnt gain the anti barrier perk, so i still have to keep it in my vault, BUNGIE PLEASE FIX!!

Bungie are hypocritical it has anti barrier on the artifact scout rifle wicked implement is a scout rifle they are stupid

11 RepliesYES!!! This needs to be changed. I know they commented on it and said it was intentional, but I call hogwash on that. Both Wicked and Conditional do not have intrinsic champion breakers, and therefore should be able to break barrier champions this season. Wicked requires rapid precision hits, which can be difficult depending on the enemy, so it isn't simply a bullet that stuns. Conditional doesn't even slow, so their comment on it being excluded from barrier was also silly. Polaris Lance can ignite, hence stunning unstoppable champions, why not block it from having barrier too? Why include it? This definitely feels like an oversight and trying to make an excuse not to address an issue rather than honest reasoning on their part.

2 RepliesIt's not a bug, wicked implement has intrinsic overload and unstoppable built into it if you used the artifact mod it'd override both of those, last time we had barrier fusions I used a chill clip aurvandil-fr6 with the artifact mod and couldn't stun an overload with it despite having chill clip active. Idk why the exception to this rule is Polaris lance and its ignitions from perfect 5th but is.

1 ReplyThere’s nothing to fix. It already stuns overload and unstop. Bungie literally said this is intentional. Use another scout/weapon or subclass verb

It slows targets on rapid hits does it not? It stuns overloads so that overrides the artifact mod.

3 RepliesBungie thinks you should be able to play the way you want. Except not that way, or the other way either. Just stay in their narrow lines and be "challenged" by some extra steps tacked on to waste time. You would think they would be leaning into it considering Heresy drops in a few months since it was Xivu Arath's gift to try and corrupt us, or the Nezarec's curse theme this Season with Conditional Finality. But no, can't have it simple with a single weapon type to do more than one or two jobs, and certainly don't want to tie into any extra story since they have plenty of that in the Acts already.

It works with radiant

Edited by The Hermit IX: 10/19/2024 12:54:24 AMThe gun is fantastic without anti barrier seeing it already handles champions and is really strong with the artifact perks. Just run radiant and you don’t have to worry about anti barrier although I am enjoying using a few SGs in certain load outs. If you’re a Warlock main get the new exotic armor and the new ritual weapon and run a prismatic build with bleak watcher. It’s absurdly good and I can stun all 3 champions without using champion mods.
-
it has built in overload since it slows
-
People still complaining about this trash weapon is interesting, weapons with intrinsic anti champion don't benefit from season champ mods, works with radiant tho.

Edited by DJ: 10/18/2024 8:01:27 PMYou can still utilize the weapon in full force. It can handle two champions intrinsically already (Overload / Unstoppable). And even then, you can still handle Barriers with clean shots spaced out for the freeze. I was running this for the better part of the first week until I started running Live Fire, which I find to be way better than Wicked Implement (for my playstyle). Still solid overall and did it's job effectively. But to be fair, you're acting as if the weapon is completely unusable when it can handle 67% of champion types on it's own consistently, and the last 33% relatively consistently. And not every enemy faction has Barrier Champions, so in those instances you're covered 100% of the time.

19 RepliesEdited by ForeverLaxx: 10/18/2024 7:15:43 PMEveryone posting "Bungie said it's intentional" are beyond hope. It's only "intentional" because they don't want to fix it. You know what happens when you gain Radiant while using Wicked Implement? It gains Anti-Barrier. If it was "intrinsic" anti-champion this wouldn't happen. Go ahead, try it with every other actual intrinsic anti-champion weapon and you'll see that Radiant wouldn't give it anti-barrier. It also can't be intrinsic while stunning two different types of Champions. That's not how the intrinsic system works. If this gun is "intrinsic" than EVERY Chill Clip weapon is "intrinsic." Wicked Implement stuns champions because it uses subclass verbs to do it. It's a function of how those verbs work and has nothing to do with the weapon. Bungie denying anti-barrier on it is a refusal to fix the interaction. Oh, and if Bungie is going to take this stance then Polaris Lance should also be considered "intrinsic" and not gain Anti-Barrier this season since, you know, it stuns Unstoppables (eventually). It's only fair, right? Why should Polaris Lance be allowed to do this despite falling under the same umbrella as Wicked Implement? I demand parity, Bungie.

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/bungie-is-claiming-that-a-bug-with-one-of-destiny-2s-exotic-weapons-is-actually-a-feature-and-im-going-to-go-into-excruciating-detail-about-why-i-think-thats-wrong/ Honestly the downside to letting some guns stun multiple champs and occasionally all of them is very minor (slightly increased utility for a few weapons some of the time) compared to the frustration of making the system convoluted and rigid and also pivoting on dev whims. See conditional finality, tractor cannon, and Polaris lance. Just get rid of the whole intrinsic only thing it does not make the game better or more interesting, it makes the players annoyed. This is an it feels more bad to lose 5 dollars than it feels good to gain 10 dollars situation. Imagine if lemonarc could sometimes stun 2 champ types, the horror, people might use it I guess and feel a little extra strong sometimes. I guess if you want to annoy everyone for a nothing burger we can just not bother buying Halloween costumes in destiny and just play some other game but ffs why? Who is this player that is like thank god the scout no one uses can’t stun 3 types of champions, that would ruin the integrity of my huge epeen? TLDR it’s no one, no one feels that way. Ya know what else we feel? We sure would like random rolls more if we had enough vault space for them. Ffs can we get like number of weapons + number of exotic armors in the game x2 for vault space please like at a minimum let us keep one of each armor and two rolls of each gun so we don’t constantly have to delete stuff.
I have been waiting for a reason to use this gun and now i do with it being a stasis season and anti barrier scouts! yet wicked implement doesnt gain the anti barrier perk, so i still have to keep it in my vault, BUNGIE PLEASE FIX!!
Bungie defense force arrived. Anti-barrier scout really isn't though....
-
6 RepliesI’ve been told they don’t want a single weapon to be able to deal with all champions. I know there have been some in the past, however I bet those slipped through their radar if the above is true.
-
Can't fix, not broken and it's still VERY good with all the artifact mods.
-
Do you even Witherhord , V.O.C and Eager Edge , Bro ?
-
You can use it to stun overload and unstoppable… if you want to use it, use it for that. No need to wait.
-
5 RepliesIt's working as intended as described in posts above. The problem at the moment is that scout is the only anti-barrier until the artifact opens up (without using something like radient), so you'd have to go double primary scout to be able to use it and stun all champion types.
-
It can still be used in an awesome setup, I'm sure. So many good episode traits. It does fit other champion types as well if you need to cover any.
-
Typical Bungo mentality.
-
8 RepliesIts intentionally not allowed to benefit from the mod, same as conditional finality and anti barrier shotgun.
-
It's not a bug(Bungie themselves have even stated this) as it can stun unstoppable and overload.
-
I'm a little disappointed, only that I like to build around anti barrier and the element of the season... so wicked implement would have been perfect!! But the new legendary stasis scout is good, and that frees up better exotic options as well.
-
5 RepliesIt has intrinsic traits that can proc antibarrier. However I will agree that it needs to be able to use the mod. Same thing with conditional finality.
